Brave mothers criticize Khomeini in Iran memorial

"I've got something in my heart which I need to say. Let my dear ones and let even the regime hear this. The day when the Imam [Khomeini] came and sat in a cemetery and said 'they've turned this place into a cemetery but I'll turn it into a garden full of flowers,' we didn't understand what he meant by a garden full of flowers. Now we know, he meant that they will kill our youngsters and bury them, and each time we'll have to go there to law flowers on their graves," Ms. Golgari said.

"I long for the day of freedom, when Iran will be free and blossoming and we can all be friends and good brothers and sisters," she added.

Iran-Maryam Rajavi’s New Year and Christmas greetings 23 December 2015

Maryam Rajavi attends Christmas Eve service

Dear Christians in Iran and everywhere else,
Supporters of the Iranian Resistance across the world,
I would like to greet you on Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ, which has coincided this year with the birthday of the Prophet Mohammad.
I would also like to extend my greetings for the New Year.

I wish  that 2016  would be a year  of unity and victory  over Islamic extremism  and especially  the religious fascism  ruling Iran  and its evil allies  in the Middle East  who sow  the seeds of enmity  in the world.
We remember Jesus Christ when he said:  “Love one another just as I love you”.
Also in the Quran, God says about Mohammad:  “We sent thee as a Mercy for all mankind”.

This is the message of all divine religions and therefore, the coincidence of the two births, is a feast of brotherhood among all nations.
Fortunate are those who have found the essence of Christianity and Islam in love, compassion and freedom.
And we salute Virgin Mary, the symbol of love and sacrifice who is described in the Bible as “loved by God”.
The birth and emergence of every prophet mark a new birth for mankind in social life.
When our world is under the attack of terror and extremism, we can find the light of freedom and tolerance and perseverance against fundamentalism and extremism in these births.
Muslims and Christians can rely on their common values to stand up to those who pervert their religions
So, in contrast to what the extremists want, we should make our hope and faith in humanity deeper than ever.
Let us hope for a swift end to extremism and for the freedom of the people of Syria from dictatorships of Bashar Assad, Khamenei and Daesh terrorists.
Let us hope for end to displacement and homelessness of Christians throughout the Middle East.
And let us hope for the relief of Christian converts in Iran from the oppression of ruling mullahs and for freedom of the whole Iranian nation from this religious dictatorship.
On this occasion,  I call on the world community  to form an international front  against the religious dictatorship in Iran  and its proxies and militia  in Syria and Iraq  and to fight Islamic extremism,  the enemy of true Muslims,  Christians  and all followers  of other divine religions.
May the message of compassion, freedom and tolerance engulf the Middle East.
May the world get relieved from tyranny and fundamentalism and have a new birth and revival.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

Iran-Interim session of the National Council of Resistance of Iran23 December 2015

The interim session of the National Council of Resistance of Iran was held on December 19 and 20 in the presence of the NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi.

Maryam Rajavi opened the meeting by paying tribute to the memories of departed NCRI members Mansour Ghadarkhah, artist, and Hossein Abrishamchi, a National Liberation Army commander slain in the latest rocket attack on Camp Liberty.
She noted: This session is held at a time when major conflicts and developments in Iran, the region and the world,

bespeak of the dawn of a new era and a new phase in the international confrontation with terrorism and fundamentalism under the name of Islam with the religious dictatorship in Iran as its epicenter.

The two-day agenda of the interim session of the National Council of Resistance of Iran included in-depth discussions on rapid developments on the international level after the terrorist attacks by DAESH in Paris on November 13, 2015; regional developments and the heavy setbacks dealt to Khamenei's interventionist policy in the region particularly in Syria and Yemen; the consequences of JCPOA, the latest report by IAEA Director General and the resolution adopted by IAEA Governing Council; the Iranian regime’s acute economic crises coupled with a plunge in the price of oil; social and political protests across the country; as well as the regime’s election crisis and its aggravating internal conflicts.
On behalf of the Iranian people, the NCRI session also strongly condemned the Iranian regime's alliance with the terrorist crimes of DAESH in Paris as well as Khamenei's complicity with Bashar Assad in the murder of 300,000 people of Syria and displacement of millions of others, describing them as the main cause for the inception and expansion of DAESH.
The NCRI session welcomed the recent formation of an anti-terrorist coalition of Islamic countries led by Saudi Arabia also supported by the Al-Az'har society which is the supreme religious authority for Sunni Muslims, and Mrs. Rajavi extended her congratulations on the formation of this coalition.
Other discussions in the session included the P5+1 nuclear agreement with the Iranian regime, the depth and scale of the regime’s irremediable economic crisis, the regime's factional feuding over the upcoming election sham for the mullahs’ parliament and Assembly of Experts, continuation and expansion of social protests by various businesses and syndicates, especially the struggle of families of political prisoners against torture, death sentences and mistreatment as well as the heroic resistance put up in the depths of prisons and the apical resistance and steadfastness of freedom fighters in Camp Liberty.

UN General Assembly adopts 62nd resolution censuring rights abuses in Iran,Maryam Rajavi:Ruling mullahs who have been condemned 62 times by the UN, should be brought to justice for crimes against humanity

On Thursday December 17, 2015, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution strongly condemning the brutal and systematic violation of human rights in Iran, in particular the mass and arbitrary executions, increasing violence and discrimination against women, ethnic, and religious minorities. This is the 62nd UN resolution condemning rights abuses by the clerical regime.

Maryam Rajavi, welcomed the resolution and said: "Mounting violation of human rights in Iran and condemnation of the clerical regime by the highest international body for consecutive years through the past three decades, vividly indicates that this regime has no place in the international community and should be rejected by the international community. The murderers of the Iranian people, whose black record includes  the execution of 120,000 political prisoners and seven massacres in Ashraf and Liberty must be held accountable by the UN Security Council and be brought before justice for crimes against humanity. This is the only way to respect the vote of the majority of countries against human rights abuses in Iran over the past 30 years, especially in light of the fact that most of the current leaders of the regime have held key positions in the past 35 years and have taken part in crimes against humanity.”
"The misguided calculation that by resorting to silence in the face of human rights violations in Iran, the regime's nuclear projects and export of terrorism and fundamentalism could be contained, is a dangerous mistake that stems from short-term economic interests and short-sighted political considerations. The clerical regime considers inaction in the face of its crimes against humanity as a green light to continue its torture and killings and emboldens it in warmongering in Syria, Iraq, and the entire region. It ensures the regime that the international community is not serious about confronting its efforts to obtain nuclear weapons," Mrs. Rajavi added.
The resolution expresses “serious concern at the alarming high frequency of, and increase in the carrying-out of the death penalty, in disregard of internationally recognized safeguards, ... and at the continuing imposition and carrying-out of the death penalty against minors and persons who at the time of their offence were under the age of 18” and calls on the Iranian regime “to abolish, in law and in practice, public executions… and executions carried out in violation of its international obligations” and “to ensure, in law and in practice, that no one is subjected to torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”
The resolution expresses serious concerns from “all forms of discrimination and other human rights violations against women and girls, violence against persons belonging to recognized and unrecognized religious minorities” and calls for elimination “in law and in practice” of  “all forms of discrimination and other human rights violations against persons belonging to ethnic, linguistic or other minorities.”
The resolution also calls upon the regime “to end widespread and serious restrictions… on the right to freedom of expression, opinion, association and peaceful assembly” and “to release persons arbitrarily detained.”

Overthrow of mullahs in #Iran will guarantee peace &security in region &world

Distinguished Speakers,
Dear Friends,

I offer my greetings and extend my gratitude for your attention to the issue of Iran and the Iranian people’s resistance movement.
I thank you for supporting the Iranian people in their struggle for freedom and human rights.

It is inspiring to see a significant group of distinguished personalities demonstrating admirable realism, believing that the solution to the vital crisis in the Middle East is to confront Islamic extremism, especially the religious dictatorship ruling Iran as the epicenter of fundamentalism and terrorism, and also to stand with the struggle of the Iranian people and the Iranian Resistance.

This Resistance is committed to liberate Iran from tyranny and barbarism, to restore that nation’s great civilization, to cultivate peace and coexistence, and to end the reign of fear and terror under the name of Islam.

Our world, from Asia, the Middle East and Africa to France, Belgium, Denmark and the United States, has been targeted by a common enemy: extremism under the name of Islam.

Its followers may have different faces – Shiite or Sunni – yet their ideological pillars and their plan of action are essentially one and the same.

Moreover, all of them, from inception to expansion, have relied on the fundamentalist regime ruling Iran.

Without the fundamentalist regime in Iran, the idea of an Islamic Caliphate, or the desire to erase national borders or the massacres under the banner of Jihad would not have existed or happened.

The horrific acts perpetrated by the likes of DAESH or Boko Haram today are all inspired by the mullahs of Iran, who have carried out the same type of crimes against the Iranian people for decades.

The regime is carrying out the same sort of atrocities through its terrorist Qods Force, Hezbollah and so-called Shiite militias in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen.

The mindset that motivated Khomeini’s fatwa calling for the death of Salman Rushdie (in the 1980s) is the same outlook that led to the massacre at Charlie Hebdo in Paris.

The mindset that motivated Khomeini’s fatwa to murder 30,000 Iranian political prisoners (in 1988) also inspired the cleansing of Sunnis in Iraq and the slaughter of people in Paris and health workers in California recently.

This is the same evil spirit that led to assaults on female political prisoners in Iran or Yazidi women in Iraq.

But beyond its ideological impact, let’s consider its practical policies.

If it were not for the massacre of the people in Syria by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is working to keep Assad in power, Syria would not have become the breeding ground for DAESH.

If it were not for the harmful meddling of the mullahs and the horrific suppression carried out by the Iranian regime’s puppet in Iraq, former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, DAESH would not have found the opportunity to occupy swathes of that country’s territory.

The formation of the US-led international coalition in 2014 to confront DAESH was a positive step. But the coalition’s strategy lacked a decisive policy vis-à-vis the mullahs’ regime in Iran, which is the source of the regional crisis.

Destroying DAESH depends on ousting Assad in Syria and on evicting the Iranian regime and its affiliated militias from Iraq.
Despite some differences with Assad and the clerical regime in Iran, DAESH is, in practice, on their side. The prime targets of DAESH have been moderate Syrian forces.

Let me be clear, the ultimate solution to fundamentalism, extremism and terrorism under the name of Islam is the overthrow of the religious fascism ruling Iran at the hands of the Iranian people and Resistance.

For this reason, the mullahs spare no opportunity to commit crimes meant to destroy this Resistance, including missile attacks on its defenseless members in Camp Liberty in Iraq. This is because the mullahs view the Iranian Resistance as an existential threat.

Allow me here to express my gratitude for the decisive positions adopted by Senators McCain, Schumer, Menendez, Blunt, Shaheen and Tillis in condemning the recent missile attack against Liberty.

On behalf of the Iranian people and the residents of Camp Liberty, I would of course like to especially thank Senator McCain and Senator Jack Reed for their initiative concerning the residents of Liberty, which became part of the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act.

Today, the residents of Camp Liberty are in an extremely vulnerable and risky situation and they remain under siege.

The United States had made a commitment to protect them officially and in writing, but it has failed to uphold that commitment.

On October 29, 24 residents lost their lives in the missile attack that was directed by the mullahs.

To date, a total of 141 innocent refugees have been killed in seven attacks and 27 have lost their lives as a result of the inhumane siege.

I call upon lawmakers to urge the U.S. government to put Camp Liberty under the aerial protection of the U.S. Air Force.

The prevention of another humanitarian catastrophe at Camp Liberty and providing protection for the Iranian freedom fighters transcends the interests of the Iranian people alone.

Such measures are vital to confronting the evil of Islamic fundamentalism orchestrated by the mullahs of Iran, who in order to prevent their overthrow in Iran, are setting the whole region on fire.

The overthrow of the mullahs in Iran will guarantee peace and security in the region and the world.

I thank you all very much.

IRANIAN REFUGEES 47 DAYS AFTER A ROCKET BARRAGE

By Shahriar Kia

On the doorsteps of International Human Rights Day thousands of Iranian refugees in Iraq, one third of which are women, are now placed in inhumane conditions and facing terrorist attacks from the air and the ground by the Iraqi forces associated to the Iranian regime. They are Iranian dissidents who in 2012 were transferred against their will from their 26-year long home in Camp Ashraf, located 90 kilometers northeast of Baghdad, to a deserted former U.S. military camp named "Liberty," all under a joint agreement signed between the United Nations, the US government and former Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki.

Yesterday as I was walking in the empty rocky street that passes through the camp, I saw a number of women gathered in the cold and lifting placards, holding a picket line adjacent to their leveled trailers that were destroyed in the most recent rocket barrage against the camp that took place only weeks before the horrific terrorist attack in Paris.

While the U.S. and U.N. had signed agreements with the camp residents guaranteeing their safety and security until their final disposition, these terms are breached time and again and many have lost their lives as a result.

Forty days ago in a terrorist attack carried out by Iraqi groups associated to the Iranian regime that have infiltrated into the current government of Iraq targeted and attacked the camp with 80 enhanced rockets made in Iran. This bloody attack left 24 residents killed and many wounded. A large number of the extremely vulnerable paper-thin trailers in which the residents live in were destroyed in the rocket attack. This was the fourth such attack against these residents, and each time many of them have lost their lives.

A woman holds a sign that says Provide protection to the residents and lift the siege on Camp Liberty.
Terrorist attacks and rocket barrages are not the only elements threatening the lives of these defenseless refugees. Worse than that is the inhumane and comprehensive blockade imposed by the Iraqi forces, continuing even after the bloody rocket attack. Fuel, foods, medical needs, logistical necessities and are just some of the necessities that are periodically blocked to the camp. These women today in their rally were protesting these very pressures.

"Wherever in the world where there is an incident or a catastrophe, everyone tries to provide help to the victims and survivors of that incident," says Shahabe, one of the younger women. "This is a natural reaction by any human being. However, everything is completely different here and ever since we were targeted in the latest rocket attack the delivery of our most basic daily needs, which we purchase at our expense, were cut off. This is the Iranian regime's policy that is imposed on us by their Iraqi elements in the camp management team. Therefore, these elements must be immediately removed from their posts or else I may not be alive after the next attack."

Shahabe's mother was abducted two years ago by Iraqi forces in coordination with the same elements that are managing Camp Liberty today. There is still no news of her whereabouts.

"We have no security or protection in this camp, and the U.S. and U.N. that are legally and morally responsible for our safety and security and transferred us to this camp must guarantee our protection," said another young woman.

"It has been 40 days that we have been under the pressure of Iraqi forces whose hands are drenched in the blood of our friends and loved ones. However, there are no measures taken to lift this siege. The Iraqi management of this camp must be changed or else the massacre will continue," said another woman who took part in the rally.

Recently 170 Members of the European Parliament issued a very strong statement condemning the terrorist attacks staged by forces linked to the Iranian regime against these refugees in Camp Liberty. The MEPs emphasized in their statement:

"These Iranian opposition members were moved in 2012 from Camp Ashraf to Camp Liberty which is being controlled by Iraq's national security advisor Faleh Fayyadh who was appointed during Maliki's government and is known for his close ties to Iran. He, along with other officers who run the camp, have all had active roles in previous massacres."

The MEPs ended their statement with a call saying:

"We urge the EU High Representative, the Member states, United States, Iraq and United Nations the following:

Ensure the health and safety of the residents and the supply of security requirements such as necessary amount of protective T-walls and sand bags etc. We urge the international coalition to put Camp Liberty under its aerial protection.
Remove the person responsible for Camp Liberty's management, Faleh Fayyadh, and replace him and his men with impartial individuals. The transfer of Iranian agents to Camp Liberty's gates under any circumstances must be avoided.
Remove the complete siege of the camp and allow the residents the freedom of movement and free access to medical services and lawyers.
The Iraqi government must recognize the residents' rights of ownership and allow them to sell their property in Ashraf or compensate them financially so they can accelerate the process of resettlement.
The United Nations must launch an investigation into the 29 October attack and the perpetrators be brought to justice."
Representatives of the American people in Congress, along with their colleagues across the Atlantic, have time and again expressed their concerns about the conditions of Iranian refugees in Camp Liberty. However, to this day there have been no serious measures by the governments of these representatives. It is high time for alarm bells to be finally sounded.

Obama signed an Amendment to Protect Camp Liberty Residents, but nothing has happened.

#Iranprotests Archives

The uprisings in December and January in 142 cities across the country heralded a bright horizon for the nationwide movement and particularly for the workers’ struggle for emancipation. Our country’s most conscious workers participated in large numbers in those uprisings and demanded regime change by their chants of “death to the dictator”, “death to Khamenei” and “death to Rouhani.”
The uprisings in December and January confirmed the validity of a solution that will eventually lead to emancipation of Iranian workers and the oppressed people of Iran and restitution of their rights. The solution is overthrow of the clerical regime which could be only realized by an organized uprising. This is the prospect heralded by the continuation and expansion of the protest movement. The protests of our Arab compatriots in Khuzistan and the residents of Kazeroon, and the strikes in cities across Kurdistan, Kermanshah, and West Azerbaijan in support of oppressed porters bespeak of our nation’s undeterred resolve for regime change.

Maryam Rajavi: Human Rights and Freedom will win with struggle of Iranian people and Resistance

These are the questions that constantly haunt the minds of all Iranians especially youngsters;
Why don’t we have freedom of expression?
Why do we constantly live in horror?
Why is there not a single independent and free media in Iran?
Why are we deprived of the freedom to choose our clothing?
Why don’t we have the right to protest?
Why shouldn’t we bring down this savage tyrannical regime and establish a democratic government?
These questions and protests that have inspired many uprisings so far will ultimately realize the great change and make Iran the cradle of human rights and freedom.

Joe Lieberman remarks on united Against Fundamentalism,Conference

The Most Urgent Step of a Prudent Policy vis-a-vis the Syrian Crisis

The message of the Iranian people and Resistance is certainty of Iran’s freedom which is the main key to the crisis in the region. It is a message that we can hear today from the heart of Tehran, in the words of Iran’s brave men and women who are the voice of the Iranian nation. The voice of political prisoners, the voice of mothers of martyrs, the voice of the first chancellor of TehranUniversity after the anti-monarchic revolution who calls on everyone to "seek freedom from cradle to grave."  This voice of courage will crush the walls of repression. It will shatter the silence and passivity that the religious fascism has imposed. It is a voice raised in defense of the mothers of martyrs and all combatants who fight for freedom. .....
Since 1993, the Iranian Resistance has warned against “Islamic fundamentalism: The new global threat”. We emphasized that the answer to Islamic fundamentalism is a democratic Islam. As the threat of fundamentalism and its solution became clearer, in the aftermath of September 11, 2001, the world must have dealt with the root causes of the problem, in addition to all the security and military measures, by supporting the Iranian Resistance to help uproot this evil phenomenon. But sadly, Western governments engaged with the central banker of terrorism and fundamentalism instead of standing with the Iranian people. And the catastrophic consequences of this policy continue to haunt us today. This mistaken policy must not be repeated.

I would end these remarks by saying that the answer to the challenge that confronts the world today can be summed up in three sentences:

1.    It is necessary to adopt a correct and comprehensive policy that includes Assad’s overthrow as its centerpiece.

2.    The world must stand with democratic Muslims to disarm fundamentalists and strip them of the means to take advantage of popular religious sentiments.

3.    They must also recognize the Iranian people’s right to overthrow the mullahs’ regime and support the Iranian Resistance for regime change and establishment of democracy.

To this end, it is imperative to defend the PMOI in Camp Liberty because they inspire people inside Iran in their fight to attain freedom.  At the same time, their perseverance gives motivation to the people of the region to stand up to fundamentalist forces and the camp of tyranny and genocide.

Maryam Rajavi: Stolen human rights and freedoms in Iran can be reestablished with struggle and uprising

Maryam Rajavi :Our people ask the international community:
Why have you closed your eyes on the gross violations of human rights in Iran? Why are you silent over 2000 executions under Rouhani? Why don’t you react to seven massacres in Ashraf and Liberty, with 141 killed and hundreds disabled? Why don’t you do something for the protection of the defenseless Camp Liberty? Why is this regime’s file of crimes not sent to the Security Council despite 62 UN condemnations for its rights abuses in Iran?
Why don’t you make arrangements for prosecution of the regime’s leaders, especially Khamenei, in an international court for ordering and committing countless executions, especially the massacre of political prisoners in Iran, and the murder of 300,000 Syrians?
