 MARYAM RAJAVI

2019 would be a year of advancement of resistance and uprisings towards freedom and victory
Suffering Christians of Iran, fellow compatriots, followers of Jesus Christ around the world,
My greetings for Christmas, on the birth of Jesus Christ, son of Mary, the great prophet of God.
And I bow before the Virgin Mary, the eternal example of innocence and purity.
The birthday of Jesus Christ is a jubilant celebration for the enchained humanity that yearns for emancipation and fraternity.
He was the messenger of compassion and friendship. He used to say, “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25: 35-40)
Christ set a tradition that showed men that they could be privileged by sacrificing for others. He said, “Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15: 9-17)
He described the sublime existence of human beings as living to serve others and not themselves. He said that he had not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Matthew 20: 25-28)

Azad University students protest for the second consecutive day

38th day of demonstration of Steel workers despite dozens of arrests and repressive measures

The arrest of representatives of Ahvaz Steelworkers and protesters, which started last midnight (Sunday, December 16), continued on Monday, December 17. The number of detainees has reached dozens, the names of 31 of whom have been published so far.
At the same time, the mullahs’ regime had stationed repressive forces from the Ministry of Intelligence, riot police and forces affiliated with the IRGC and IRGC intelligence in various sensitive locations in Ahvaz so that workers could not continue their protests. However, the workers, despite the fact that they were surrounded by oppressive forces in some places, continued to demonstrate with slogans such as: “Imprisoned workers must be freed”.
Workers, being threatened by repressive forces, said they would continue their demonstrations until the release of the arrested and achieving their demands.
Workers and laborers from different parts of Iran, including the Tehran Bus Company workers’ syndicate and truck drivers in various parts of Iran, expressed their solidarity with Ahvaz workers and called for the immediate release of the detainees.

Saluting the brave and adamant workers of Ahvaz, the Iranian Resistance described the brutal and mass arrests on Sunday night and on Monday as indication of the frustration of religious fascism in the face of the strikes and protests of workers, and  called on all workers and youth and students, especially in Ahvaz and Khuzestan, to support the striking workers of Ahvaz. It also called on international human rights and workers' rights advocates and workers’ unions and syndicates in different countries to support the striking workers who are protesting for their basic rights, and to take necessary measures for the release of the arrests.

IRAN- MARYAM RAJAVI AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF IRANIAN COMMUNITIES: CLERICAL REGIME HAS NO WAY TO THWART BEING OVERTHROWN

Global Video conferencing of representatives of Iranian communities in 42 cities

Call to confront the growing human rights violations and the export of terrorism by the mullahs’ regime and the need for a decisive policy

Maryam Rajavi: Terrorism is the regime’s strategy to thwart its own overthrow, and all its leaders are involved

Iranian Communities hold Joint Video Conference in 42 cities in Europe, North America and Australia

The Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Ministry of Intelligence, and the state propaganda machine must be placed on the US FTO list and the EU terror list, the regime’s financial lifelines blocked, the dossier of the regime’s crimes against humanity be referred to the UN Security Council and its leaders brought to justice

On Saturday, a conference simultaneously held by Iranians in 40 different locations in three continents across the world called for international action against the increasingly hostile terrorist activities of the Iranian regime and its egregious human rights abuses at home.
Titled “Halt mullahs’ regime growing human rights violations and export of terrorism,” the conference featured speeches by Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi, political dignitaries from several countries and representatives of Iranian communities from across the world.
The gatherings message: Adopt a firm policy toward the Iranian regime and support the aspirations of the Iranian people for change in their country.

Maryam RajaviMaryam Rajavi: Respect the Iranian people’s desire to overthrow the regime, establish freedom and democracy
The keynote speaker of the event was Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran. Mrs. Rajavi pointed out two fundamental issues representing the past year’s developments:
First, the clerical regime has no way and no solution to thwart its overthrow. And second, the theocratic regime’s strategy to survive a series of crises as we speak is further crackdown and suppression inside Iran, and more exporting of terrorism, war and tension to other countries.
“Over the past year, the regime repeatedly tried to stifle the uprisings. Every time, however, the embers started glowing from under the ashes,” Mrs. Rajavi said, referring to the nationwide protests that began in December 2017 and have continued intermittently. Mrs. Rajavi also pointed out that the regime has failed to contain the activities of Iranian resistance units and its efforts to conduct terrorist activities against Iranian opposition movement PMOI/MEK has caused an international backlash against the regime.
“The product of such a political impasse has been a dramatic fall in the regime’s political, economic, social and international status,” Mrs. Rajavi remarked.
Under the current political deadlock, the mullahs of Iran have resorted to several failed terrorist attempts abroad, Mrs. Rajavi said.
“the regime’s recourse to terrorism and other crimes is not a transient or tactical reaction, but a solution and an outlet in the regime’s strategy to survive and rein in its overthrow crisis,” Mrs. Rajavi stressed.
Mrs. Rajavi also remarked that the regime’s desperate resort to terrorism in Europe comes at a time that Tehran seeks to bank on the support of European states to dampen U.S. sanctions that recently came into effect.
And contrary to what some analysts and politicians in the West who try to portray the regime’s terrorist acts as the doings of rogue elements, the terrorist plots are being directly orchestrated and ordered at the highest levels of the Iranian regime, including supreme leader Ali Khamenei, President Hassan Rouhani, foreign minister Javad Zarif and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security, the regime’s notorious terror and espionage apparatus. The testament to the fact is the arrest and expulsion of several Iranian diplomats who were directly involved in the regime’s foreign terror activities.
“It is absolutely illogical to suggest that some acts of terrorism could be carried out arbitrarily, without the knowledge of Khamenei or Rouhani, in a regime that monitors all the minute details of people’s private lives. Such fictitious premises are intended to cover up the regime’s crimes and only further embolden them in resorting to terrorism,” Mrs. Rajavi said.
Mrs. Rajavi concluded that contrary the past, where the regime used terrorism as an offensive tool to carry out its policies, the recent uptick in its use of terrorism in Europe and the U.S. is “a defensive tool to launch a counterattack against the Iranian people’s uprisings.”
“Indeed, isn’t it regrettable that despite disclosure of the mullahs’ terrorism on European soil, the regime’s appeasers are still trying to find a way to deal with the regime and seeking to aid the murderers of the Iranian people?” Mrs. Rajavi said. “Gentlemen, if you don’t want to stand by the people of Iran, at least do not victimize the security of your own citizens.”
“This is our word: Respect the Iranian people’s desire to overthrow the regime and establish freedom and democracy.”
Mrs. Rajavi called for a block on financial lifelines that fund Khamenei’s apparatus, the IRGC, the terrorist Ouds Force, and the regime’s repressive forces. She also called for the IRGC, the MOIS, and the regime’s state propaganda machine to be placed on the U.S. List of Foreign Terrorist Organizations and the terror list of the European Union.

Kennedy: Iranians suffer as regime spreads terror
“Man Irani hastam - Man Ashrafi hastam” were the first words of former U.S. Congressman Patrick Kennedy.
With protests increasing across the country, Kennedy emphasized how the Iranian regime has increased its terror activities abroad. The regime knows the protests are linked to the PMOI/MEK. Thus, Tehran has escalated its demonizing measures against this opposition organization.
There has been a surge in terror plots against the Iranian dissidents, many foiled in Albania, France, and Denmark, he added. This mirrors their terror campaign back in the 1980s. The European Union should end all its connections with the Iranian regime as requested by the former Democrat Member of the U.S. Congress.
Targeting the PMOI/MEK and NCRI as Iran’s democratic alternative proves the NCRI is a viable force for change, he added. This resistance has presented a real map for change and a democratic Iran.
All of Iran’s wealth is being spent on terrorism and terror groups and all the while the Iranian people are in the worst possible economic conditions, Kennedy remarked.
The Iranian embassy in Albania has doubled its size, Kennedy warned, adding all of Iran’s embassies in Europe are involved in Europe. “I support Mrs. Rajavi’s message saying the IRGC must be designated as a terror entity,” he added.

Pandeli Majko: You have realized a miracle
Expressing his long-lasting support for the PMOI/MEK in his country, former Albanian prime minister Pandeli Majko noted the bright future he sees for Iran as the movement for freedom strives forward.
“An honest question is that why is the Iranian regime’s embassy in Tirana while you are also in this country? The answer is that you are different because you represent the Iranian people and the future of Iran,” Majko said.
The future of Iran and the Middle East will be under the leadership of Maryam Rajavi, he noted. There are diplomats acting as terrorists. Answers are needed in this regard. This melody heard in Tirana is the song of freedom, which should also be played in Iran. And here, you have realized a miracle by building this city [Ashraf 3] in less than a year, the former Albanian prime minister added.

Betancourt: “You are the hope”
Former Colombian presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt attended the convention and emphasized on the PMOI / MEK’s role in the opposition movement against the Iranian regime.
“When I accepted the invitation to come to this convention, I insisted on being with PMOI/MEK members inside Ashraf 3,” she said.
“In June, during a massive Iranian opposition convention which I was attending, we heard news of an Iranian regime terror plot targeting the rally, foiled by Belgian, German and French authorities,” Betancourt added, reviewing the terror plots pursued by the Iranian regime against the PMOI/MEK.
“In parallel nature, the Iranian regime has been very active in attempting to tarnish the Iranian opposition PMOI/MEK’s image,” she noted.
Betancourt remarked that terrorism has been in the nature of the mullahs’ regime, to impose fear in the Iranian society and abroad and now, they are using terrorism as a defensive tool to safeguard their interests.
After the bombing plot in France, President Francois Macron adopted a position that is really a red signal of what is to come. He froze the assets of the Ministry of Intelligence in France, expelled people from the Iranian embassy and he was about to appoint an ambassador in Iran, which he decided against.
“I think things are changing and am very hopeful and positive,” Betancourt emphasized.
“The best option for Iran is here, being freedom with Maryam Rajavi. And now they are fearing that they will be brought to justice. This is our commitment. We will free Iran and will bring [the regime] to justice...Time has changed. You are the hope. Maryam is the leader and we are with you,” she added.

Ghozali: Regime has no answer to protests
“Terrorism is part of the DNA of the Iranian regime,” said Sid Ahmed Ghozali, the former Prime Minister of Algeria. “Maryam Rajavi said this 10 years ago.”

Ghozali underlined that the solution to dealing with the Iranian regime’s terrorism not a military offensive or appeasement. “The regime will never stand by its promises. The only solution is to remove this regime,” Ghozali said.
Underlining the importance of the protests that erupted across Iran at the turn of the year, Ghozali noted that in contrary to 2009, demonstrations in Iran were focused on elections, the recent demonstrations are focused on the Iranian leadership.
“The new point is that the Iranian regime has no answer to the current demonstrations. The regime can’t do anything regarding the demonstrations in Iran, which is the result of 40 years of repression,” Ghozali said. The regime has enough money. Why can’t it solve the economic crisis of the Iranian people? Because it is only capable of suppressing the Iranian people.”
If the West doesn’t understand the regime’s terrorism, they will never be able to root out terrorism from their countries, Ghozali concluded.

Fatmir Mediu, former Albanian defense minister
Iran’s regime is terrified of the PMOI/MEK
The Iranian regime is very active in Albania, especially in malign measures, said former Albanian defense minister Fatmir Mediu. Tehran is spreading lies, especially through its embassy in Tirana. The more they adopt such measures, the more they prove how terrified they are of you.

Irish Senator Gerry Horkan: No moderation in Iran’s regime
The main threats of the Iranian regime are terrorism, ballistic missiles program and its human rights violations said Senator Gerry Horkan from Ireland. The regime used the JCPOA to fund terrorism. Some politicians in Europe are supporting Iranian regime President Hassan Rouhani while the regime has intensified its terrorism in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and other parts of the Middle East.
“This shows that there’s no moderation in the regime,” Horkan said.
The regime’s situation in 2018 has two characteristics: The regime is trying in vain to quell ongoing protests while at the same time, the Iranian resistance is rising in popularity and influence, Horkan remarked.

Iranian communities across the globe
Members of the Iranian Diaspora, supporters of the PMOI / MEK living the United States, Canada and across Europe, held gatherings in 40 different cities and linked live to the convention in Albania and voiced their support for the alternative represented by NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi and the PMOI / MEK.

PMOI/MEK network increasing intensity of activities inside the country

Resistance Units in Iran conduct 100 anti-regime activities in past three weeks

March 15, 2019 - Resistance units in Iran have conducted over 100 anti-regime activities in various cities across the country in the past three weeks (since February 20, 2019) despite severe repressive measures by the Iranian regime.
The units carried out protest actions in Tehran, Salmas, Uroumieh, Babolsar, Esfahan, Karaj, Chahbahar, Andimeshk, Makou, Khorramabad, Semnan, Abadan, Hendijan, Khoi, Zanjan, Amol, Golpayegan, Sabzevar, Neyshabour, Delijan, Azarshahr, Qazvin, Kazeroun, Dorood, Miyandoab, and other locations.
Resistance units torched or tore down regime banners depicting Khomeini and Khamenei and other regime symbols at major regime centers or public thoroughfares. The units also wrote graffiti and hung banners calling for Death to Khamenei, Rouhani, and supporting Iranian resistance leader Rajavi. They also hung banners depicting the Iranian Resistance’s president-elect for future Iran, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, from bridges, buildings, and other locations.

Tehran’s fear of activities led by Iranian Resistance Units

Jan. 11, 2019 - Shohadaye Iran, a state-run news website, recently ran an article titled "[PMOI/MEK] write graffiti in Behesht-e Zahra," in which it betrayed the Iranian regime’s fear of the activities led by Iranian resistance units, groups of organized activists supporting the PMOI/MEK. “Writing slogans [on walls and floors] by [PMOI/MEK] is not an uncommon sight,” Shohada writes. “However, the fact that the writing haven’t been erased after several days might indicate that [officials] have become negligent in preserving the values of the Revolution.”

As protests continue unabated in Iran, Regime officials have begun voicing their fears about how the Iranian Resistance and their network of activists are organising and directing the protests in order to do the most possible damage to the Regime.
The Regime may have its factional squabbling – largely the result of many terrible people clamouring for the ultimate seat of power – but they all agree on one thing: the Iranian Resistance is the biggest threat to their continued rule. However, they rarely acknowledge that fact, so this shows just how scared they are.

The Resistance Units, Refracting A Strong Continuation Into A Rainbow Of Iranian Protests
Resistance units lead the uprisings bravely in every street and village in occupied Iran.
These units have imposed an uncontrolled condition on the regime on one hand, and on the other hand, they themselves have become the point of hope and motivation for the Iranian people against the mullahs’ regime; they will guide the society towards the revolution and the regime’s overthrow.
As the resistance units were introduced to the Iranian society, since Dec. 28, 2017, the condensed crises within the society entered a new stage. Social protests across the country increased and the Iranian people became fearless in expressing their demands this in turn has resulted in radicalized position taking of foreign governments towards the mullahs’ regime.

MEK Heralds The Storm Of Overthrow In Iran
Nowadays, the noose has become tighter around the fundamentalist regime ruling Iran, and all signs indicate that the storm of overthrow is looming on it.
From a political point of view, as the figures speak, the regime has internationally become more isolated and has plunged deeper into a dire situation; consequently, a growing radical public anger has surged in an explosive Iran.
The trend of regime’s overthrow and its isolation accelerates even more. The political scene, both regional and international, is rapidly and tangibly turning against it from day to day. Read more

“Warning: PMOI/MEK have changed tactics”
Iran, Aug. 30, 2018 - Resistance units associated to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) are expanding across the country and increasing their efforts, especially marking the 30th anniversary of the 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners.
Recently, Iranian communities in a variety of European countries and Canada held an international conference hailing the martyrs of the 1988 crime against humanity. New Report Explores Iran’s Attempts to Destroy MEK
By Jubin Katiraie
It is no secret that Iranian mullahs have frequently tried to demonise their legitimate opposition movement, the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), in the eyes of both the Iranian people and the international community.
Indeed, Iran is so scared of the power of the MEK, that they consistently use malign disinformation campaigns (using fake news and lying agents) to discredit the MEK’s legitimacy, use their suppressive security forces to arrest, torture, and murder MEK members, and even pursue MEK dissidents abroad to assassinate them on the streets of Europe.
A new and extensive report from Struan Stevenson, coordinator of the Campaign for Iran Change, explains how Iran has spent the past 40 years trying to destroy the MEK’s reputation and even eliminate the MEK as a whole.
The most egregious crimes of the mullahs against the MEK included getting the MEK wrongfully placed on terrorist watch lists in the West, banning the MEK as a political movement inside Iran, and massacring 30,000 MEK members and supporters during the summer of 1988.

ROLE OF THE MEK INTIMIDATES THE IRANIAN REGIME
by Mahmood Hakamian
The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) has been instrumental in raising awareness about the plight of the Iranian people. The MEK has extensive support in Iran and has a huge following outside the country. The Iranian regime has, for years, tried to discredit the MEK, saying that it has very little support among the Iranian people.
The MEK, however, was recognised by the Iranian regime as being the main organiser of the protests that swept across the country at the end of last year. It can no longer claim that the MEK is insignificant – the MEK represents a very real threat to the Iranian regime.
Furthermore, at the beginning of this year, it was reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP) that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani asked the French President Emmanuel Macron to take action against the MEK. President Macron of course had no reason to act against the MEK, so the Supreme Leader threatened to execute MEK protesters.
The MEK has a long history of being targeted by the Iranian regime. Many MEK supporters were executed during the so-called 1988 massacre. More than 30,000 political prisoners, most of whom were affiliated to the MEK, were executed during the space of one single summer. To this day, no one has been held accountable for the crime against humanity and the MEK and families are still campaigning for justice.

IRAN REGIME’S ATTEMPTS TO DISCREDIT THE MEK IN IRAN
It is no secret that the Iranian mullahs have spent years trying to smear the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) within Iran. They would do anything to stop the Iranian people joining the MEK, even going so far as to ban the MEK in the 1980s.
When that didn’t work, the regime turned to state-sponsored propaganda, in the form of attack websites, fake documentaries, and even anti-MEK propaganda exhibitions.

How the Iranian regime points to its main opposition
Earlier this month, days before Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian regime’s president, was bound for Europe, authorities in Belgium, France and Germany declared having foiled a terrorist plot that had been orchestrated by one of the regime’s diplomats in Austria. The terrorist attack was aimed against the Iranian opposition gathering in Paris, where tens of thousands of people had gathered to support the PMOI/MEK and NCRI’s efforts for regime change in Iran.
The question is, why would the regime engage in a terrorist attack against its main opposition, which would undermine the very purpose of its own president’s European tour and his efforts to gain support for his failing foreign policy?

Arrest of labor activists and repressive measures to end the Haft Tappeh sugar mill strike

The anti-human clerical regime, which has become furious and aggravated by the strike and demonstrations of brave workers of the Haft Tappeh sugar cane mill, on Thursday, November 29 arrested Mr. Ali Nejati, former president of the Haft Tappeh sugar cane workers union, along with his son, and transferred them to an unknown location. The repressive forces arrested and beat him while he was suffering from heart disease and was badly ill.
Despite these arrests and the presence of suppressive forces in the city of Shush, the brave workers of Haft Tappeh sugar cane mill continued their protest for the 25th day. They chanted in the gathering in front of the regime's governorate: Imprisoned worker must be freed.
On the other hand, the governor, the regime’s MP and the head of the Revolutionary Guards went to the area to force the workers to end the strike by giving deceptive promises. But they were faced with a negative response from the workers. Workers interrupted the speech of the member of the regime's parliament by chanting slogans.
The Iranian Resistance calls on the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the International Labor Organization, trade unions and labor unions all over the world to take urgent action to free Ali Nejati and other detained workers and to support striking workers.
