Since September 23, The Iranian resistance has been engaged in a widespread campaign regarding executions in Iran.

MEP raises concern over executions in Iran
Obtained from a press release- Friends of a Free

On the 16th World Day Against the Death Penalty, Gérard Deprez, Member of European Parliament and Chair of Friends of a Free Iran, issues a statement, in which he expressed “deep concern over the executions in the Islamic Republic of Iran.” Friends of a Free Iran (FoFI) is an informal group in the European Parliament which was formed in 2003 and enjoys the support of many MEPs from various political groups.
“Iran at the moment has the highest number of executions in the world per capita,” Deprez warns, adding that according to Amnesty International, more than half of all recorded executions in the world in 2017 took place in Iran.

MARYAM RAJAVI’S MESSAGE TO THE “NO TO EXECUTIONS AND TERRORISM” CONFERENCE HELD AT DISTRICT 5 MUNICIPALITY IN PARIS

On the World Day against the Death Penalty, Maryam Rajavi addressed a message to the participants in a conference at the District 5 Municipality of Paris. Following is the full text of her remarks:
The World Day Against the Death Penalty is to promote a universal value to defend the sanctity of human life. At the same time, it points the finger at the mullahs’ theocratic regime for being the world’s top record holder of executions and for relying on massacres.
Let us salute the 120,000 valiant children of Iran, including the political prisoners massacred in 1988, who were executed by the regime for fighting for freedom.
Their deaths are an everlasting disgrace for the mullahs who have built the pillars of their rule on blood. They are devoid of any popular, humanitarian, or historic legitimacy, and the overthrow of their regime is the urgent objective of the nationalist struggles of the Iranian people and Resistance. A goal which will most certainly be realized beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Iran- Maryam Rajavi’s message on World Day Against the Death Penalty The nonstop cycle of executions is aimed at preserving the mullahs’ religious tyranny
The nonstop cycle of executions is aimed at preserving the mullahs’ religious tyranny

The World Day against the Death Penalty is a time to pay tribute to 120,000 PMOI and combatant freedom-fighters including the 30,000 who were hanged during the 1988 massacre by the religious dictatorship in Iran.
It is also a day to reject the mullahs’ abhorrent regime who protect their decadent rule by daily executions in the face of public dissatisfaction and protests of a restless society that thirsts for freedom.
As Amnesty International has reported, with the exclusion of China, the Iranian regime accounts for 55 per cent of the total number of executions in the world. Therefore, the World Day against the Death Penalty is a day when the world says no to the mullahs’ religious tyranny.
What distinguishes the executions in Iran from those carried out in other parts of the world, are not the number of executions but their systematic trend. One of the pillars of the clerical regime’s rule are executions in which all of the regime’s factions collaborate. Under whatever pretext or charge, the mullahs’ intention in carrying out the executions is to preserve and escalate repression and general terror. In fact, the government’s killing machine is at work day and night. They increase and decrease the number of hangings upon Khamenei’s order and depending on domestic and international political situation. They take advantage of these killings to balance the defeats and disabilities of the ruling power, or counter the spirit of protests in society.
For this reason, international bodies have time and again confirmed that the orders for many of these hangings have been issued first for crimes that were either vague or were not considered “very serious crimes” from the standpoint of “international standards.”
Secondly, the victims of executions are deprived of their rights to a fair trial and due process of law. Before anything else, they are victims of organized crimes whose continuation is the regime’s daily need.
As the UN rapporteur on human rights in Iran has stated, “Many of those executed are poor and belong to marginalized groups in Iranian society.”
As in the anti-patriotic war with Iraq where Khomeini used young men and teenagers as cannon fodder and disposable soldiers, the ruling mullahs are now imposing an agonizing poverty on the Iranian people driving many towards depravity and corruption. In the meantime, they hang the victims of those wrongdoings and crimes in the nonstop cycle of hangings and executions. With utmost cruelty, they do not even spare the mentally disabled and those who committed crime as a minor. In addition, an endless line of thousands of unfortunate prisoners is on the death row.
This is while the children of the regime’s officials who commit much worse crimes including astronomical embezzlements and theft are immune from any form of punishment. More importantly, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the ruling mullahs hold the strings that control many of the crimes for which the poor are executed, including drug trafficking and prostitution.
Fortunately, the opposition to the mullahs’ criminal regime is growing every day among the populace and the families of prisoners and execution victims have repeatedly staged protests outside the regime’s prisons and other centers in protest to the execution of their children and relatives.
The Iranian Resistance espouses the abolition of the death penalty in Iran after the overthrow of the clerical regime and rejects the inhuman punishment of retribution as it is diametrically opposed to the spirit of clemency and compassion of the Mohammadan Islam.
Once again, I call on Western governments to make their commercial and diplomatic relations with the religious dictatorship ruling Iran, contingent on the end to torture and executions.
I urge the United Nations to set up a committee to investigate the 1988 massacre in Iran and hold accountable its masterminds and perpetrators who remain in charge of executions carried out today in Iran.
The prosecution of the masterminds and perpetrators of the 1988 massacre has turned into a general desire in the Iranian society, more than ever before. The Call for Justice Campaign is an indispensable part of the efforts to end the wave of executions in Iran.
I call on my fellow compatriots, particularly the Iranian youths, to stand up to the policy of execution and slaughter. The campaign against the death penalty is part and parcel with the campaign seeking to overthrow the clerical regime and rid the people of Iran from the mullahs’ atrocious rule.

Call for justice for the victims of the massacre of the political prisoners in 1988 in Iran

Al Arabiya, 2 December 2017- Iranian opposition in US publishes Tehran’s ‘scandalous acts’ in new book
Iran: Where Mass Murderers Rule
Iran: Where Mass Murderers Rule:
Is an expose of the current rulers of Iran and their track record in human rights violations.
The book details how 30,000 political prisoners fell victim to politicize during the summer of 1988 and showcases the most egregious political extinction of a group of people. The publication includes details about how the massacre arose, who the perpetrators were, and how they are presently engaging in the justification or cover up of the massacre, as they continue to rule the country and commit atrocities.

Washington, DC – A panel of experts was organized by the National Council of Resistance of Iran, U.S. Representative Office (NCRI-US) to discuss the situation of human rights in Iran, and U.S. policy regarding it. The panel coincided with the release of a new well-documented book, Iran: Where Mass Murderers Rule: The 1988 Massacre of 30,000 Political Prisoners and the Continuing Atrocities. The book is already the #1 New Release on Iran on Amazon.
The event was held at the National Press Club a week ahead of Human Rights Day and highlighted the need to designate certain Iranian officials as major human rights violators subject to sanctions.

MARYAM RAJAVI’S MESSAGE TO THE CONFERENCE REMEMBERING THE VICTIMS OF THE 1988 MASSACRE OF POLITICAL PRISONERS IN IRAN NOVEMBER 28, 2017 –DISTRICT 5 MUNICIPALITY, PARIS

MARYAM RAJAVI’S MESSAGE TO THE CONFERENCE REMEMBERING THE VICTIMS OF THE 1988 MASSACRE OF POLITICAL PRISONERS IN IRAN NOVEMBER 28, 2017 –DISTRICT 5 MUNICIPALITY, PARIS
The clerical dictatorship has become vulnerable vis-à-vis the people of Iran
Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends,
I wish the best of success for your conference at 5th District Municipality in Paris.
I would like to thank Mayor Florence Berthout for welcoming the conference and exhibition.
I would also like to use this opportunity and extend my gratitude to our friends in France for their solidarity with the victims of the earthquake in Kermanshah. The inhabitants of the afflicted areas, particularly in Sarpol-e Zahab and Qasr-e Shirin, are furious over why the Iranian regime has abandoned them, as they are receiving help only from ordinary people, to whom I am deeply thankful for their efforts.
Dear friends,
It is very significant that today’s conference has focused on justice and truth about the victims of the 1988 massacre in Iran, because the United Nations Third Committee has once again censured the mullahs’ religious dictatorship for its violations of human rights. The UN resolution calls for action to end the impunity of perpetrators of these crimes.
We should not forget that the regime’s organs and incumbent leaders were all complicit in the massacre in 1988.
The UN Secretary General António Guterres has pointed out in his report in November 2017 that the UN has received many complaints from the families of the victims of the 1988 massacre in Iran.
Ms. Asma Jahangir, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, has also reiterated that, “The families of the victims have a right to remedy, reparation, and the right to know about the truth of these events and the fate of the victims without risking reprisal.”
This is why we need to have an international committee formed to investigate this massacre and bring its perpetrators to justice.
The international community’s appeasement of the Iranian regime and the immunity enjoyed by its officials over some 40 years has emboldened these criminals.
The mullahs who carried out the massacre in 1988, now hold world record in per capita executions.
Nevertheless, their dictatorship has become very vulnerable. The changing balance of power in Iran and the world has dismayed the mullahs.
For this reason, Rouhani has removed his mask of moderation to defend the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the regime’s ballistic missile program, and their destabilizing activities in the Middle East.
The time has come for the regime’s leaders to account for their crimes. The campaign calling for justice for the victims for the 1988 massacre is spreading in Iran. And dozens of protests are taking place every day with the demand of ending the rule of dictatorship in the country.
On the international level, France is right to be alarmed by the Iranian regime’s ICBM and its meddling in the region, particularly in Lebanon, Syria and Yemen. The countries in the region and the United States share the same concerns.
Appeasement must be ended.
To detect any change in the regime’s behavior, it must be held accountable.
This is why it is imperative to place the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on the European Union’s list of terrorist organizations. This is why this organ which is so vital to the Iranian regime must be sanctioned. The US Congress recently adopted bills which are effective in reinforcing sanctions against the mullahs’ ICBM. Another necessary step is to create serious obstacles against the presence of IRGC and its proxy militias in the countries in the region.
But the international community needs to move ahead, making all relations and trade with the regime contingent on end to torture and executions in Iran. The UN Security Council must undertake effective measures to have Iran’s criminal rulers face justice.
Ending impunity for the regime’s leaders will lead to the victory of human rights. At the same time, it will bring closer the end of this regime, and the end of all suffering of the people of Iran and the peoples in the region, paying the way for a free and democratic Iran.
Thank you.

Maryam Rajavi's message to the demonstration of Iranians in Oslo

In a message to the demonstration of Iranians in Oslo, the capital of Norway, which was held on the eve of the World Day Against the Death Penalty, and in support of the Call for Justice Campaign, Maryam Rajavi said:
The regime relies on violations of human rights in Iran and suppression of protesters and freedom lovers to carry on with its belligerence and terrorism in the Middle East. If the regime had not been backed by the appeasement of Western governments, it would not have had a free hand in violating human rights. It would have not been able to extend its crimes to other countries, and it would have not been able to drench Syria in a whirlpool of blood.
Therefore, I warn Western companies and governments, and particularly Norway, against dealing with the religious dictatorship ruling Iran.
Iran-Maryam Rajavi's Message to the Demonstration of Iranians in Stockholm
European governments must condition their relations with Iranian regime to the halt of torture and executions
The president elect of the Iranian resistance, Maryam Rajavi sent a message to the demonstration of the Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance in Stockholm, held in support of the justice - seeking movement for the political prisoners massacred in 1988.
She said, “The justice - seeking movement is directly related to the violations of human rights taking place in Iran, today.”
The demonstration was held on October 6 with participation of hundreds of Iranians residing in Sweden and a number of political personalities.
Maryam Rajavi told the demonstrators, “The massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988 is not something that history would forget. This crime is the issue to date. The issue of ongoing catastrophic violations of human rights in Iran. It concerns youths who have been blinded this year by the mullahs, and those whose hands have been amputated. Those young men and women who have been deprived of their most basic freedoms. It is related to everyday executions taking place all across the country and the thousands who are on death row. It is related to the political prisoners who are being constantly tortured and are deprived of their most basic rights.
“Women are under double oppression. The whole society lives under fear and in poverty. The society is deprived of political activity and they are not entitled to free elections.”
Maryam Rajavi told the Iranian demonstrators and supporters of the Iranian Resistance, “With your campaign calling for justice, you are targeting the regime for its greatest crime.”
She also urged the people of Europe to question their governments on the reason why they continue their relations with a regime that relies on genocide to keep its grabs on power.
Maryam Rajavi also underscored the need for the U.N. to form an independent commission to investigate the 1988 massacre in Iran and urged European governments to make their commercial and diplomatic relations with the mullahs’ religious dictatorship contingent on end to torture and executions in Iran.

futureless status of mullahs’ regime & indispensable defeat of investing in such a state

The Iranian Resistance strongly condemns the visits to Paris and The Hague made by Mohammad Javad Zarif, the foreign minister of the religious fascism ruling Iran, describing it as against human rights, democracy and peace in Iran and the entire Middle East. The report card of the government that Zarif represents speaks for itself:

- At least 2,400 executions under the tenure of the regime’s President Hassan Rouhani – The U.N. Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran in his latest report said around 1,000 people were executed in 2015, resembling the highest figure in the past 25 years.

- Juvenile executions – According to the U.N. Special Rapporteur the execution of juveniles in 2014-2015 reached the highest rate in the past five years.
- Increasing crackdown and detention of writers, reporters and artists.
