This new wave of support follows a recent message sent by Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi hailing the brave protesters of Tehran and cities across the country.
“…the PMOI/MEK’s offices have reopened everywhere under the framework of revolting teams, visible in all streets and alleys…” he said.

We Will Give Our Support To The Iranian Alternative
Roger Godsiff
Too long the people of Iran have been oppressed by one of the most ruthless regimes in the world, which has got no regard whatsoever for the human rights of the Iranian people. And the Iranian people have suffered terribly over the years because of the theocratic regime and it was hard days there for the eventually the people of Iran in very large numbers decided to take to the streets to protest and to try to bring about change. Unfortunately, people haven’t succeeded until now but those desires to change the regime are not going to go away and I hope very much indeed international opinion will support the people of Iran in seeking to bring about change and seeking to have an Iran where the people of Iran can determine through free and fair elections who they want to govern them and how to be governed. As the regime they have at the moment and it’s totally dominated by the mullahs, by their thinking which is going back hundreds and hundreds of years, and they are no friends of the Iranian people and the sooner they got rid of them, the best of the people of Iran.

Domestically speaking, during the past weeks we have witnessed major protests – some describing it as an uprising – by the people of Kazerun, a city in southern Iran. Furthermore, tens of thousands of truck drivers across the country were holding a nationwide strike.

“Free Iran 2018 / The Alternative” rally scheduled for June 30th

In circumstances that protests across Iran – continuing after the Dec/Jan uprising – are rattling the very pillars of the Iranian regime, and political developments in the Middle East and throughout the globe are placing further pressure on Tehran’s mullahs, Iranian exiles from across the globe are gathering in Paris once again for the annual Iranian Resistance gathering.
Continuing its struggle for a free during the past 15 years, the Iranian Resistances seeks to establish a free Iran without any crackdown, torture or execution; based on the separation of church and state where the mullahs’ current rule is replaced by a democratic system based on the ballot box; establishing a non-nuclear Iran, becoming the epicenter of peace and friendship in the Middle East and the world over; the country’s God-given wealth not being wasted on warmongering, but to provide the population’s welfare; and a country in which equality, social justice, progress and protecting the environment will all be realized.
Certain is the fact that the Iranian regime is facing enormous obstacles and challenges both inside the country and on the global stage.
The international community is finally beginning to realize that the appeasement policy must be set aside. Freedom and democracy must be established in Iran, following regime change, in order to obtain peace and tranquility in the region.
Three principles are now proven more than ever before:
- Regime change in Iran is a dire necessity
- Regime change in Iran is at hand
- There is a viable alternative for the Iranian regime
The Dec/Jan uprising has proven that the Iranian people want this regime gone and senior official in Tehran are acknowledging this undeniable reality.
As seen most recently in Kazerun, the Iranian regime has neither the will nor the capacity to provide for the Iranian people’s rightful demands.
After nearly 40 years in power, the time has come for this regime to be set aside.

At the Paris conference on the “Explosive conditions in Iran, mullahs’ regime in crises”, Messrs. Before handing in the declaration
General James Conway
Ex-Marine Corps general: ‘US no longer playing softball with Iranian regime’
An international conference titled “Mullahs’ regime in crises, explosive situation in Iran, meddling in other countries” was held in Paris, where several dignitaries from the US, France, Canada, EU and the Middle East addressed the Iranian situation.
Among the speakers was General James Conway who was the Commanding General of the US Marine Corps from 2006 to 2010. He was commander of 90,000 US and British forces in Iraq and served two tours in Iraq. During his time there, some of the most important officials in the Trump administration were his subordinates.
Maryam Rajavi, the President of the National Council of Resistance of Iran was the keynote speaker of the conference. Rajavi said as the international community is recognizing the need to stand up to the Iranian regime’s malign activities, the mullahs are besieged with crisis at home and public discontent is expanding, putting the regime’s overthrow within reach.

MARYAM RAJAVI: THE CLERICAL REGIME’S OVERTHROW IS CERTAIN AND WITHIN REACH

Maryam Rajavi: The clerical regime is a hundred times more dangerous than Daesh and confronting it is far more imperative
“Just as it was necessary to confront Daesh, it is far more imperative now to fight a hundred-times greater danger: the religious dictatorship in Iran, the IRGC and its mercenary militias.”
This was reiterated by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, in a speech to a conference in Paris focusing on “Explosive Conditions in Iran, Mullahs’ Regime in Crises”, on Saturday, December 16, 2017.
Mrs. Rajavi pointed out, “The international community has finally acknowledged the dangers and threats posed by the IRGC albeit long overdue. These statements are a positive step forward but not sufficient to confront the increasing damages caused by this destructive force and the heavy price the nations in the region have paid because of western governments’ appeasement of the regime over so many years.”
She emphasized, “The overthrow of the clerical regime is certain and within reach. This is the only solution to the problems in Iran, the region, and the world.”
The conference opened by Jacques Boutault, Mayor of the 2nd District of Paris, consisted of three panels of European, Arab and Islamic, as well as North American dignitaries.
The speakers of the first panel included Gilbert Mitterrand, President of France Libertés; Roger Godsiff and Matthew Offord, members of the British Parliament; Michele de Vaucouleurs, Member of the French National Assembly and President of the Parliamentary Committee for Democratic Iran; Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger, former German Minister of Justice; Rama Yade, former French Minister for Human Rights; Gerry Horkan, Chair of the Senate Budget Committee and deputy leader of the opposition party in the Irish Senate; Michael Kaminski, member of the Parliament of Poland; Romeo Nicoara, Member of the Romanian Parliament; and Otto Bernhardt, former Member of German Federal Parliament.
The speakers of the second panel included Sid Ahmed Ghozali, former Prime Minister of Algeria; George Sabra, President of the opposition Syrian National Council; Selva Oksoy, Vice Chair of the Syrian Coalition; Michel Kilo, a prominent Syrian opposition figure; Bassam Alamoush, former Ambassador of Jordan to Iran and former Minister of Administrative Development; Abdallah Altayar, Head of the Center for Future Gulf; Issa Turki, member of the Parliament of Bahrain; and Reyad Yassin, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen in France and former Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The third panelists included Ambassador Lincoln Bloomfield, former Assistant U.S. Secretary of State; General James Conway, former Commandant of the U.S. Marines; and John Baird, former Foreign Minister of Canada.
Mrs. Rajavi pointed out in her speech, “If the mullahs’ religious tyranny was not so detested within the country, it would not have needed the IRGC, the Qods Force, and a dozen mercenary groups in the region. And if the regime was not so unstable, it would not have needed to engage in destructive wars in the region. The regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and IRGC commanders have reiterated time and again that if they don’t fight in Syria and Iraq, they would have to fight in Tehran, Hamedan and Isfahan.
“Despite massive repression, they are terrified of the ultimate showdown with the Iranian people. They fear the Iranian people’s resolve for change, embodied in their organized resistance.”
Underlining the fact that the clerical regime is more vulnerable than ever, the Iranian Resistance’s President-elect called on western governments to undertake the following measures:
• Designate the IRGC as a terrorist entity and deny this criminal force and the entire Iranian regime access to the international banking system;
• Expel the IRGC and its militias from Syria, Iraq, and other countries in the region and prevent their transfer of troops and arms via these countries;
• Expel the operatives of the terrorist Qods Force and the Intelligence Ministry (MOIS) from Europe and the U.S.;
• Predicate all diplomatic and commercial relations with the mullahs’ religious dictatorship on an end to torture and executions in Iran;
• Call on the UN Security Council to set up a special tribunal on or refer the dossier of the Iranian regime’s crimes, particularly the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners, to the International Criminal Court;
• Support reimbursing the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran and the National Liberation Army of Iran for their properties, equipment, arms and basecamps by the government of Iraq.
• Recognize the National Council of Resistance of Iran as the sole democratic alternative to the religious, terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran. This is indispensable to ending and rectifying the disastrous policy of appeasement pursued by the US and Europe in the previous years.

Misagh Yazdannejad is a young Iranian activist who recently left his country after spending more than nine years of his life in the jails of the Mullahs. He was attending a conference on 16 December at the Palais Brongniart in Paris on the Iranian subject, where he shared his experience under the rule of the religious fascism in Iran. Here is the text of his touching discourse at the conference titled, "The explosive situation of Iran, the mullahs' regime encircled by crises":
Greetings to everyone. And I thank all the distinguished guests who have voiced support for the Iranian people and Resistance in all these years.
My name is Misagh Yazdannejad. I am 31 years old and was imprisoned for nine years in Iran because I took part in ceremonies honoring the victims of the 1988 massacre and for sympathizing with the People’s Mojahedin. I left Iran secretly last year and have been in Europe for the past few months. As someone who has recently come from Iran and out of prison, I would like to say a couple of things.

Active in the student community to denounce the fundamentalist regime, young Saïd took part in the 2009 popular uprising in Iran, where he was led to measure the impact of the PMOI/MEK fight for change. Having recently left his country, he participated on December 16 at an international conference in Paris titled, "The explosive situation of Iran, the regime of the mullahs surrounded by crises".

Maryam Rajavi:
Maryam Rajavi: Realization of Iranian people’s desire for regime change is essential to human rights in Iran, peace in region and the world

A major  demonstration  was held in Paris on December 11, to observe the International Human Rights Day (December 10) against the mullahs’ bloodletting regime and executions and torture in Iran.
The NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi sent a message to the demonstration which coincided with the One Plannet Summit in Paris. She said, "Saving human rights and environment in Iran hinges on regime change.”
She added: The clerical regime and its IRGC continuously destroy Iran’s environmental capacities for their military and security plans, missile program and malign objectives. To contain domestic crises and their own instability, they have resorted to war and slaughter of the peoples of the region. Therefore, realization of the Iranian people’s urgent demand to bring down the ruling religious dictatorship seeks not only to revive freedom, human rights, justice and the environment in Iran but is essential to peace and security in the region and around the world.
A number French, European and Arab personalities participated along with thousands of Iranians in the rally. They included former Algerian Prime Minister Sid Ahmed Ghozali; Jean-François Legaret and Jacques Boutault, mayors of First and Second districts of Paris; Jean-Pierre Michel and Jean-Pierre Brard, former members of the French National Assembly and Senate; Jean-Pierre Becquet, former mayor of Auvers-sur-Oise; Governor Yves Bonnet, former director of DST; Alejo Vidal Quadras, President of the In Search of Justice Foundation and former Vice President of the European Parliament; Struan Stevenson, President of the European Iraqi Freedom Association; Judge François Colcombet; Mehdi Same'e, chair of the NCRI Industries Committee; Pierre Berci, President of the New Human Rights Foundation; and Jacky Duminy, mayor of Ors. Gerard Lauton read out the message of the President of the Teachers' Syndicate. Mohmoud Ghobash from the Syrian Opposition, and Jamal Al-Awazi, President of the International Press Agency in Paris, also addressed the demonstration of Iranians in Paris on Human Rights Day.
Maryam Rajavi:
In her message to the rally, Mrs. Rajavi described the 4-decade rule of the mullahs’ theocracy in Iran as an experience of “mounting devastation and destruction” and said, “The mullahs commenced their rule by suppression of freedoms. The pillars of their regime were based on a sea of blood spilling from the bodies of Iran’s best children including the victims of the 1988 massacre. They continued their reign by export of terrorism and fundamentalism, destroyed the country’s education, art, and culture, ruined its social ethics and devastated the environment.”
She urged the international community to condition their relations and trade with the Iranian regime on end to torture and executions in Iran, and undertake binding measures to stop the regime’s missile program and drive out the IRGC and its militias from countries in the region. She further called for recognition of the Iranian people’s desire and will for regime change.
The demonstrators chanted, “Trade with the mullahs is trade in blood”, “trade with IRGC upholds flogging and hangings”, “Rouhani’s record is plunder of all Iranians”, “free all political prisoners”, “democracy and freedom with Maryam Rajavi”, “every Iranian cries out, death to Rouhani”, “Rouhani is a charlatan, he is a murderous mullah”, “Khamenei is a murderer, he is murderer of all Iranians”, “Rouhani, murderer of the people of Iran”, etc.
The demonstration ended after four hours by reading out a resolution in support of the Iranian people’s urgent demand for the overthrow of the mullahs’ religious dictatorship. The resolution reiterated that Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point Plan for Future Iran guarantees a democratic society, separation of religion and state, gender equality, as well as equal rights and freedoms for various religious and ethnic groups in Iran.

Maryam Rajavi: The vast popular move&the regime’s hasty reaction showed the ongoing confrontation between Iran’s nation &a regime, doomed to fall

Hundreds of Checkpoints Set up on Main and Secondary Roads of Pasargad, Many People Arrested
In order to demonstrate national unity against the anti-national and anti-Iranian regime of Velayat-e Faqih, people from different cities of the country started to go to Pasargadae since Friday, October 27 to commemorate Cyrus the Great. In fear of the rally turning into an uprising against the clerical regime, regime officials have taken repressive measures for the past few weeks to prevent this move. These measures have intensified since last week, especially during the past three days:

Iran Regime's Panic and Fear From the Ceremony of Cyrus the Great
Simultaneous to reports of the closure of main road leading to the Cyrus tomb, Friday prayer leaders in the Fars Province (southern Iran) strongly attacked the Ceremony of the Achaemenid king (Cyrus the Great) Day and condemned Israel and the U.S. as “sponsors” of the ceremony.
According to the state-run IRNA news agency, Alireza Siahpur, Director General of Fars Province Road Transport said on Friday, October 27, that part of the Shiraz-Isfahan highway would be blocked on Saturday and Sunday October 28 and 29, due to "repairs". This is the main road leading to the Cyrus Tomb. The ancient Pasargadae is located about 135 kilometers from Shiraz.
Meanwhile, Siahpur announced that drivers who intend to travel from Isfahan to southern Fars province should use alternative routes.
The security forces set up fences around Pasargadae, the Cyrus Tomb, to prevent the gathering of people in this place.

Noting the chant “theft has become institutionalized under this regime,” Mrs. Rajavi added, “Institutionalized fraud along with institutionalized murder and belligerence constitute the pillars of the mullahs’ decadent regime. The election of a new Secretary General heralds the certain overthrow of the mullahs’ religious dictatorship in Iran

How one woman is leading the opposition against the Iranian regime1

How one woman is leading the opposition against the Iranian regime1
By F.Mahmoudi, Special to Al Arabiya English
While media outlets in Iran are speaking about “the end of the revolution, sense of despondency among revolutionaries and the disregard of Khomeini”, Khamenei has proven incapable of controlling the regime, which is riddled with internal dissensions and crises. In addition, the regime is so chauvinistic that it could not include a single woman in the new cabinet of Hassan Rouhani.
Meanwhile, Iran’s opposition-in-exile celebrated its 52nd anniversary on September 6, where its congress elected a woman as its new Secretary General.

Maryam Rajavi: This election will break the spell of repression and heralds the overthrow of the mullahs’ religious fascism
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, PMOI, (the Mujahedin-e Khalq, MEK) held its annual Congress simultaneously in Tirana and five other countries. On the PMOI’s 52nd anniversary, the Congress elected Ms. Zahra Merrikhi as its new Secretary General. Ms. Zohreh Akhyani, the Secretary General since 2011, chaired the Congress.
According to the PMOI’s bylaws, the Secretary General is elected to a renewable term of two years. The election is held in three phases. In the first phase, members of the PMOI Central Council, and in the second the organization’s officials and cadres in different departments, cast their votes in secret ballots. In the third phase, at the PMOI Congress, all members vote by raising their hands.
In the first phase, on August 20, 2017, Ms. Merrikhi was elected from among 12 candidates by a majority of the Central Council members. The four leading candidates were put on the ballot for the second phase, which was held on September 3, 2017. Ms. Merrikhi received a majority of the votes cast in ten different PMOI centers. In the final phase, during the PMOI Congress, Ms. Merrikhi was unanimously elected Secretary General.
Previously, Ms. Merrikhi was coordinator for the offices of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and Vice-President of the PMOI’s Central Council.
Born in 1959 in the city of Qa’emshahr in the northern Province of Mazandaran, Ms. Merrikhi became acquainted with the PMOI during the 1979 anti-Monarchic Revolution and joined the PMOI after the Shah’s overthrow. She was soon appointed head of the women’s section in Qa’emshahr, and later became a member of the editorial board of the PMOI publication in Mazandaran, called Talavang.
In 1981, she was transferred to Tehran and acted as liaison between the PMOI and its branches in the forests of northern Iran. In 1984, she moved to PMOI bases in the border region with Iraq, and a year later became a member of the Central Council.
Her younger brother, Ali Merrikhi, was murdered by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in 1988.
Ms. Merrikhi oversaw PMOI branches in Scandinavia and Germany for some time. In 1991, she became a member of the Executive Committee and was later appointed head of Radio Mojahed, Simay-e Moghavemat (the Iranian Resistance’s television network) and the publication Mojahed.
She became a member of the NCRI in 1992 and was appointed Chairwoman of the Public Affairs Committee.

After Her Election as PMOI/MEK Secretary General, Zahra Merrikhi Pledges to Bring Freedom to Iran

Following her election as Secretary General, Mrs. Merrikhi was sworn in, placing her hand on the Holy Quran and paying her respects to the Iranian flag and PMOI emblem. She pledged to remain faithful to the enormous responsibilities with which she has been entrusted. Ms. Merrikhi vowed to devote all her abilities and those of the PMOI as a national treasure of the Iranian people, to establish freedom and democracy in Iran.
The new Secretary General expressed her appreciation for the efforts of her predecessor, Ms. Akhyani, and Ms. Mojgan Parsai, the President of the PMOI’s Central Council. She lauded their efforts and those of other PMOI officials over the past 14 years, during one of the most dangerous and tortuous periods of the Organizations history in camps Ashraf and Liberty.
“Today, the PMOI, with the help of the Iranian people, is prepared as never before to overthrow the clerical regime,” Ms. Merrikhi said, adding that the PMOI has now 18 co-Secretaries General (including seven former Secretaries General). Mr. Merrikhi also introduced Narges Azodanlou, 36, Rabi’eh Mofidi, 35, and Nasrin Massih, 39, as new deputies to the Secretary General.
In congratulating the election of Ms. Merrikhi as the new PMOI Secretary General, Mrs. Rajavi described it as a brilliant election, embodying the height of democracy, cohesion, and growth in the PMOI. It heralds the breaking of the spell of repression which will lead to the overthrow of the religious fascism ruling Iran, she added.

MESSAGE OF MARYAM RAJAVI TO A MEETING AT THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES- FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY IN IRAN- 9 MARCH 2017

Message of Maryam Rajavi to a meeting at the U.S. House of Representatives- for Human rights and Democracy in Iran- 9 March 2017
Honorable lawmakers and dear friends,
With the arrival of spring, Iranians are preparing to celebrate Nowruz, the Persian New Year, which marks the first day of the Iranian calendar year.
Nowruz has been celebrated for decades and symbolizes change; change from the gray, gloomy days of winter to the promising green days of spring.
For Iranians, Nowruz has a simple but significant message:
The springtime of freedom is inevitable.
It may be delayed, but it cannot be stopped.
For the people of Iran, Nowruz brings a new hopeful prospect:
The certain end of religious dictatorship and rule of freedom and democracy.
Our suppressed people deserve to live in a free and democratic society, which is key to peace and stability in the region.
It is the only way of uprooting Islamic fundamentalism as a global threat.
Events in Iran over the past year are signs of critical developments in the coming year.
Conservative estimates show more than 3,000 executions during Hassan Rouhani’s term and yet widespread crackdown on the rise.
Yet, the Iranian people have risen up in different cities to protest the regime’s suppression.
They rallied against censorship, poverty and widespread government corruption.
They took to the streets in thousands of large and small demonstrations to protest that even their most basic demands are not met.
The most recent example is the uprising of last month by thousands of our brave countrymen and women in Ahvaz.
The death of Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani seriously weakened the regime.
For 38 years, Rafsanjani was the regime’s number-two man and was critical to its internal balance.
In addition, the windfall money from the lifting of sanctions did not relieve living conditions.

Iran- Maryam Rajavi's Message on the New Academic Year 2016-2017

On the eve of the new academic year, the fundamentalist mullahs and their ignorant and oppressive guards have imposed silence and fear over society. This coldness, however, will be overcome by vigor and a spirit of renewal and renovation as you begin the warmest and the most joyful, collective endeavor hand in hand in every street and in every school and university.

Let us commemorate the girls and boys who used to study in your schools and universities, the pioneers who were always at the forefront of every act of protest against the mullahs' fundamentalist dictatorship.

Khomeini thought that he could guarantee his regime's survival with the wave of executions in the 1980s and the 1988 massacre. Ironically, in the beginning of the new school year, we see that those pure souls have been provoking Iran's
society in a movement to obtain justice particularly after the release of Mr. Montazeri's moving audio file. And again, we are hearing their voice and message who say the first lesson in every class and in every school is the lesson of freedom.

If this regime and its leaders and officials are not prosecuted for crimes against humanity, then what good are the Rome Statute and the International Criminal Court? The UN Security Council has an obligation to bring the regime's criminal record before a competent international court.
