Iranian women marched on the occasion of the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women in Tehran's Abo Atash Park. They tied the white ribbon on their fingers and made speeches on women's right to divorce, custody of children, inheritance and etc.
There are 2.5million female heads of household throughout Iran, of whom 71% have lost their husbands and 11-12% have got divorce.”
This was announced by Habibollah Massoudi Farid, deputy for social affairs in the National Welfare Organization, noting that his organization covers only 180,000 of such families.
Farid pointed out that 67,000 of these women became head of household because their husbands were disabled, 63,000 because their husbands died, and 35,000 because they got divorced.
Farid also revealed that 36 percent of female heads of household are over 60 years of age, 40 percent are between 40 to 60 years old, 16 per cent are between 31 and 40, and 8 per cent are under 30 of whom 1.5 per cent are under 20.

Maryam Rajavi, who heads the opposition National Council of Resistance ofIran, called on all Muslims, particularly those in, to unite against extremism under the name of Islam. NCRI- Almost 87 percent of Iranian women are economically inactive, announced Vahideh Negin, advisor on women’s affairs to the Iranian regime's Labor Minister. Her remarks were reported by the website of the NCRI Women’s Committee.
On the anniversary of the adoption of the Labor Law in Iran, in an interview with the state-run news agency ILNA on November 20 Vahideh Negin said there is only 13% of Iranian women’s economic participation and “half of them are employed in the unofficial business sector.”
Negin said, “If we presume that half of the country’s active work force are women, that is 32 million, we will come up with 28 million economically inactive people.”
Negin said: “Of the female population above 10 years of age, 18.9% are students, 3.6% have income without jobs, and 60% are housewives. Women’s unemployment rate is more than 19% and more than double the men’s based on official figures published in spring 2015.”
She noted a 26 percent gap between women’s employment in services and industry sectors. In spring 2015, only 24 percent of women were employed in the industrial sector, she said. Some 25% are employed in the agriculture sector, and 50% in the services sector. see more
The Iran Statistic Center reported recent figures showing unemployment in 11 provinces amongst women between the ages of 15 to 24 above 50%. These statistics were reported 43.8% from March 2014 to March 2015.
The three provinces of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad and Mazandaran have rated unemployment amongst young women at 71.2, 67.5 and 66.7 percent, respectively, ranking as the three worst provinces in Iran. see more

For the past 37 years, Iranian women have been subjected to injustice, the most inhumane violence and discrimination in all areas of their life under the banner of Islam and in the name of God.
On this day, we pay homage to tens of thousands of heroic women that were tortured and executed in their struggle against religious fascism ruling Iran.
We honor the memory of young women like Reyhaneh and Farinaz who gave their lives by standing against this brutal regime.
And courageous women who have stood up to this regime and endured much suffering in jail and under torture.
We also remember women who were victims of acid attacks and millions of other women who have been humiliated and mistreated because they are women.
Violence and insecurity impact the lives of Iranian women round the clock due to the binding dress codeand the suppressive laws on women.
Every hour, two to three women are taken to court on charges of improper veiling. Every day, thousands of women receive warnings from the police for mal-veiling.
Violence and terrorism exported by the mullahs’ regime have also affected millions of Iraqi and Syrian women who are suffering every day and have been forced to leave their homeland.
There is no doubt that the wave of pain and anger of Iranian women as well as all the women of the region will overthrow this regime.

Less than a month ago, 24 members of the PMOI, the main Iranian opposition movement, lost their lives under a heavy rocket attack directed by the Iranian regime on the defenseless Camp Liberty in Iraq, where some 2000 PMOI members are residing. Dear friends,
I would like to express my appreciation for your presence and solidarity today.
With heavy hearts, we pay homage to 130 defenseless human beings killed and 350 injured in the inferno of fundamentalism and terrorism.
The conscience of humanity is left scarred by this savagery committed under the name of God and religion.
The people of Iran share France’s grief.
PMOI members in Camp Liberty, who lost 24 comrades in a rocket attack by the Iranian regime last month, offered their sympathies with the people of France by holding a memorial at their devastated Camp, which remains in ruins.
In a tribute, they stood under the national flags of France and Iran, and sang the Marseillaise and the Iranian national anthem on the rubbles of their Camp.
No one in the world today can feel the pain of the people of France any better than those who have been victims of Islamic fundamentalism.
And we, the people of Iran, the freedom-loving Muslims, are the principal victims of this evil phenomenon.
Extremism under the banner of Islam emerged in 1979 with Khomeini seizing power; it has to date murdered 120,000 political dissidents in Iran.
In 1988, upon Khomeini’s religious decree or fatwa, 30,000 political prisoners were massacred within a few months because of their beliefs. Today, the families of those victims feel the agony of the families of those massacred in Paris on November 13th better than anyone else.
These days, we can hear the voice of mothers of execution victims and political prisoners in Iran who express their sympathy with the people of France.
Yes, we respond to the cold-hearted masterminds of the Paris massacre, by expressing our solidarity with the victims.
The terrorists have targeted not only the people of France, but also the tolerance of French society.
They have targeted the life in friendship, cultural and ideological tolerance.
Under the banner of Islam, they targeted coexistence between Muslims and Christians in France. But as President Hollande said on Monday, “We are not engaged in a war between civilizations because these murderers do not represent any civilization.”
Their attacks once again revealed that there are two opposing fronts: freedom-loving people and advocates of democracy and separation of religion and state, tolerant and democrat Muslims versus tyrants, savages, fanatics, ISIS, Bashar Assad and Iran’s mullahs.
This is why a few hours after the carnage in Bataclan, the mullahs hypocritically denounced the attack but at the same time rejoiced by assailing France on a scale unprecedented in the past three decades and even blaming French officials for the massacre.
On the one hand, Daesh slaughters dozens of young people; on the other, the mullahs warn that if France does not accept continued rule of Bashar Assad, more attacks will be on the way. What a disgusting division of labor!
But why must this murderous dictator remain in power while the Syrian nation wants him out?
While has half of the Syrian population been driven out of their homeland?
Assad’s continued rule translates into further displacement of the Syrian nation, the influx of millions more refugees to Europe and provides a safe haven for Daesh.
Two parties will be seriously hurt by Bashar Assad’s ouster: One is Daesh which would lose its breeding grounds. The other are the mullahs whose regional front would crumble and disintegrate.
Some people suggest that to eliminate Daesh, we should cooperate with Assad. It is foolhardy to join forces with the murderer of 300,000 Syrians to combat Daesh. For the very existence of Daesh from day one has depended on Bashar Assad and the Iranian regime.
A few days ago, the US Secretary of State said that Bashar Assad and Nouri al-Maliki deliberately released 2,500 extremist prisoners who joined forces to form Daesh.
The United Nations Third Committee recently issued a resolution, condemning the belligerence of Al-Qaeda battalions, IRGC and Iranian-backed groups such as Hezbollah and Asa’eb in Syria and calling for their expulsion from that country.
Yes, this is the right policy.
Dear friends,
Extremism under the banner of Islam has nothing to do with Islam and it is contrary to the genuine message of Islam and the traditions of its Prophet.
Anything that promotes terrorism or dictatorship counters the teachings of Islam.
Anything that violates people’s freedoms and denies women’s equality is against Islam.
Murderers ascribing their crimes to Islam is the worst kind of exploitation of Islam and Muslims.
We should therefore avoid two things that fulfill the desires of Daesh: Attribution of such attacks to Islam in any form or fashion, and being ambivalent as Muslims.
Muslims who believe in democracy are the most effective force which could fight and defeat this global danger.
Thus, as a Muslim woman and on behalf of the Iranian people’s Resistance, I would like to emphasize a few points:
1. The November 13th tragedy and the massacre of defenseless people under the name of Islam is an attack on Islam and Muslims.
2. Democratic Muslims stand with France in her struggle against Daesh and for ouster of Bashar Assad. Defeating Daesh cannot be achieved without Assad’s ouster.
3. The people of Iran are appalled by the mullahs’ jubilance over the Paris tragedy. The mullahs have demonstrated that they are siding with the criminals.
4. Fundamentalism under the name of Islam -- whether the Shiite variant (embodied in the velayat-e faqih dictatorship in Iran) or the Sunni variant as practiced by Daesh -- is the enemy of Muslims and humanity. Its heart beats in Tehran under the rule of religious fascism.
5. As genuine Muslims, we espouse democracy, secularism, gender equality, freedom and tolerance.
6. We reject Sharia laws and mandatory enforcement of Islamic edicts as well as religious discrimination.
7. We call on all Muslims, particularly Muslims in France, to unite in a front against terrorism and extremism under the banner of Islam.
Once again, we pray for the speedy recovery of the wounded and for the return of security and relief to France.
In conclusion, I would like to pay tribute to the memory of the great friend of the Iranian Resistance, Danielle Mitterand, on the anniversary of her demise and honor the genuine values of France which she defended all her life.
Maryam Rajavi: Clerical regime’s dossier should be referred to UN Security Council and officials in charge must be brought to justice
The 70th session of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution Thursday November 19, 2015, condemning flagrant and systematic violations of human rights in Iran by the clerical regime.
The resolution expresses “serious concern at the alarming high frequency of, and increase in the carrying-out of the death penalty, in disregard of internationally recognized safeguards, including executions undertaken without notification to the prisoner’s family members or legal counsel, and at the continuing imposition and carrying-out of the death penalty against minors and persons who at the time of their offence were under the age of 18.”
It calls on the Iranian regime “to abolish, in law and in practice, public executions… and executions carried out in violation of its international obligations” and “to ensure, in law and in practice, that no one is subjected to torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”
The resolution strongly urges the Iranian regime to eliminate “all forms of discrimination and other human rights violations against women and girls.” It expresses “serious concern” over “violence against persons belonging to recognized and unrecognized religious minorities” and calls for elimination “in law and in practice” of “all forms of discrimination and other human rights violations against persons belonging to ethnic, linguistic or other minorities.”
The UN document also calls upon the regime “to end widespread and serious restrictions… on the right to freedom of expression, opinion, association and peaceful assembly” and “to release persons arbitrarily detained.”
The Iranian Resistance’s President-elect Maryam Rajavi welcomed the adoption of this 62nd UN resolution censuring human rights abuses in Iran and declared: Although this resolution accounts for only parts of the clerical regime’s crimes, it is nonetheless a revealing document on a regime that is criminal in its entirety and that has been able to hold on to power against a population demanding its overthrow solely by resorting to executions, torture, and ruthless suppression.
Mrs. Rajavi once again underscored the need to submit the dossier of the clerical regime’s crimes –including 120,000 political executions and seven massacres carried out in Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty - to the UN Security Council for adoption of binding and preventive measures as well as prosecution of the officials in charge of the crimes that are considered crimes against humanity by any standards.
Mrs. Rajavi reiterated that appeasement of the mullahs will only embolden the regime to further violate human rights, export terrorism and act with belligerence. She pointed out: The nuclear agreement must not be used as an excuse for turning a blind eye to the clerical regime’s inhuman crimes, and any engagement with Tehran must be made contingent upon improvement in the human rights situation in Iran, particularly an end to the savage death penalty.
Mrs. Rajavi added: The mullahs’ obvious jubilation over the November 13 tragedy in Paris, their active participation in the massacre of the people of Iraq, and their crimes against humanity in Syria bespeak of the fact that the clerical regime’s abuses are not limited to Iran’s boundaries and that the mullahs do not hesitate to slaughter innocent people and torture and execute political opponents wherever their political interests suit.
The NCRI President-elect added: This resolution once again reveals that the notion of the clerical regime’s 'moderation' is just a myth and Rouhani’s promises are hollow. It further proves that contentions over the religious dictatorship’s post-nuclear-deal movement towards moderation are also merely unfounded.

IRAN: Guards raid Ward 12 of Gohardasht Prison today
NCRI - Wardens of Iran’s notorious Gohardasht (Rajai-shahr) Prison, in Karaj, north-west of Tehran, raided Ward 12 at 13:00 local time on Monday, according to news sources inside of Iran.
The ward houses political prisoners opposed to the mullahs’ regime.
During the raid, the wardens conducted body searches of the prisoners and used devices to search the whole ward.
IRAN: Snap inspection of political prisoner’s ward in Gohardasht
NCRI - On Sunday, November 1, at 4 pm local time, Iranian regime elements, including the chief of inspections and chief warden of Gohardasht (Rajai Shahr) Prison, without prior notice entered Hall 12, Ward 4 of the prison which is allocated to political prisoners.

The solution is to counter Islamic fundamentalism at its roots, in addition to the police, military and intelligence activities.

From Liberty 'prison'… to the nation of France, our hearts are with you. We feel the pain and the anguish of the victims of Paris terrorist disaster. We express our condolences to the government and the people of France.
NCRI - Members of the main Iranian opposition group, the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran, in Camp Liberty, Iraq, who themselves were victim of a terrorist rocket attack by agents of the Iranian regime at the end of October held a memorial service on Monday, November 16 for the victims of the terrorist attacks last Friday in Paris.
The members of the PMOI (or MEK) lit candles and held signs reading: "From Camp Liberty prison: I am a Parisian."
France's tri-color flag and the flag of the Iranian Resistance were raised at the memorial which was held on the rubble of the attack at Camp Liberty. Flowers were placed in memory of 129 people killed in the attacks in Paris and the 24 PMOI members killed in Camp Liberty.
In response to the inquiry of Ms. Akbari’s husband about her freedom, Judge Salavati said, “Let me check out and see whether her name is on the amnesty list.”
In a strongly-worded open letter, Maryam Akbari Monfared reacted by listing the mullahs’ crimes during their rule and boasted of having opposed the regime. She said, “My enchained compatriots and I are the ones who must grant amnesty.”

In the name of God, in the name of freedom, knowledge and justice
We have already spoken of the magnificent stories of those fallen for freedom. We have written many poems and songs about the most splendid epics created in the Iranian people’s quest for freedom.
Our hearts are filled with love and faith when we hail the lofty souls of those heroes in chains and those who sealed their honesty and loyalty with ultimate sacrifice.
I am writing for the mothers and fathers whose strength and resistance make mountains humble. I am writing to pay tribute to their humane interpretation of the word, “mother”, and to thank their abundant love which never dies down and their endurance that passes like a breeze through the stormy sky.
I turn the pages of my memoirs, to reach the page where I first found your familiar gaze. I could see the glad tidings of life in your kind eyes as if a dandelion was passing through the experience of life with a cry for justice.
Imprisoned woman urges prosecution of perpetrators of 1988 massacre
In a letter to international organizations which was publicized on December 22, 2016, political prisoner Maryam Akbari Monfared urged the UN to form a court of justice to prosecute the masterminds and perpetrators of the 1988 massacre
Political prisoner Maryam Akbari Monfared has formally filed a lawsuit against Evin Prison because of the 1988 massacre and the executions of her sister and brothers.
Political prisoner Maryam Akbari Monfared has written a letter to her brother, Hamid Reza Akbari Monfared in Camp Liberty, Iraq. Maryam Akbari Monfared was arrested in December 2009 simultaneous with the nationwide uprisings in Iran.
She is a political prisoner, mother of three girls, serving a sentence of 15 years for having relatives in Camp Liberty and participating in anti-regime protests.
She wrote in her letter to her brother, Hamid Reza in Camp Liberty after the October 29, 2015 deadly attack:
“My dear Hamid Reza,
There is a week difference in time between here and the outside world and news reports. Each Sunday, a tiny window is open to us to the outside world, and we have to hear all the news and developments inside prison in our 30 minute visits. There were many horrible reports that terrified us and we remained deeply worried until we heard the latest details. This time, maybe we were lucky.
We were receiving reports after two days. From Friday to Sunday. I don’t know what emotions were driving me; I didn’t know what to do; so I picked up a pen to write to you. For you, my dear brother. For you, my dear Hamid Reza, whom at this moment I don’t know if you are still alive? Or how many of your friends lost their lives in your arms and you weren’t able to do anything for them. I wanted to write to you about my emotions the moment I heard the news of the catastrophic attack on Camp Liberty once again from the Iranian regime’s news networks.
I don’t know if you will read this letter or not? Are you still alive?
The moment I heard the news, the first thing that came to my mind was: oh all the mothers!
Oh my God, once again the hearts of our mothers will be broken, and their eyes, full of tears, staring at the TV sets listening to the news.
I am sitting on my bed and over and over again I am thinking about the atmosphere in Liberty, and the 23 martyrs and the large numbers who have been injured. Oh God! Is it Alireza or Masoumeh, Mohammad or Farshid, Assadollah, Alam or Zahra? Oh God, which one? Which one has lost their life and is now in Heaven? Which mother is now in grief and pain? If
my sister Sedigheh is one of them, what would I tell Hossein? I don’t see Hossein. How can I send him a message?
More and more questions came to my mind. I recall our last meeting and the words you had for me back then. I remember Hassan’s mother, how she was staring at the TV set hearing the death of her son on the news. Or remembering little Atena, she was so young and she had to go through such harsh times, or the mother of Shirin.
The parents of Mahdiyeh and Akbar, and the other mothers who had prior to this, heard reports about their loved ones perishing. Finally, I told myself if Hamid Reza is now gone, at least mother has passed away and she will not go through all that grief again. There is no word nor phrase to describe all this atrocity and cruelty.
I ask myself and all the world, how many more generations and people of this land must pay the price and witness violence and the destruction of humanity? Then all those in pain must start writing, to forever eternalize all this bravery. I want to shout and scream: Is there anyone to help us?
I want to shout and scream: where are you all those appeasers? Enough is enough! Can you not hear all this?
Do you not see this crime against humanity?
Misters Obama and Ban Ki-moon, and Ms. Mogherini, to you who sit at one table and negotiate with the Islamic Republic, Mr. John Kerry! You are asking the Iraqi government to identify and arrest the perpetrators of this crime, while you yourself are negotiating with them? You should know that any deal you make will be paid in the end by the lives of noble human beings whose cries are even heard by the stars, but not by you.
Until when do you intend to only condemn them on paper and issue more resolutions? Know this, you are accomplice in these crimes. Your hands are drenched in the blood of our loved ones.
My dear Hamid Reza! I don’t know how we are patient, starring at the sky, behind these stone walls. With our worried sisters, and what developments will there be until Sunday and what news will we receive.
I tell myself, God loved Mom so much, taking her so soon, and she is not here to witness these days.
She didn’t see how her children were killed, and others have now remained there defending themselves with their bare hands.
It is us who learn humanity, dignity and morals from you, and the martyrs who went in the utmost perfection of humanity. It is us praying to the Heavens for more of your perseverance, wishing you the utmost patience.
I feel grief inside when I think that on this planet, there is no one to end these crimes.
Oh God, does the world have to be perished in such darkness? When I think about the fact that you are the light in this darkness, standing in the face of this dark world, I am engulfed in delight and regret. The delight of your presence is a window to fresh air, and engulfed in regret that it is you against the entire world!
This is the call of God telling us not to look at their small numbers, that we will send angels to your support, and I am certain that thousands upon thousands of angels are accompanying you in this journey.
Thus, I am certain you will be victorious. Here, on behalf of all the freedom-loving men and women whose hearts beat for humanity, and on behalf of myself, a worried sister, I want to condemn this inhumane crime and demand measures to punish the perpetrators behind this crime.
