Maryam Rajavi : Expel the IRGC from the region, and the clerical regime from the OIC

Maryam Rajavi and a number of prominent personalities from Arab countries and the Muslim community in France took part in a gathering in Auvers-sur-Oise on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan. The meeting was entitled, “Interfaith Solidarity Against Extremism.”
In her remarks to this gathering, Maryam Rajavi said:
Ramadan is the month of bonding of hearts, friendship, solidarity and peace.
Unfortunately, however, in the present circumstances, there is no blame on us if we shed tears for the dissociation and agony among our countries and nations, for Syria, Iraq and Yemen and other countries where our Muslim sisters and brothers are living in exasperating conditions.
For this reason and with your permission I would like to call on all Muslim nations to unite in solidarity. This is a call based on a solid foundation acceptable to most Muslims.
Ideologically, this foundation is to deny religious compulsion and compulsory religion. Or in the words of the Quran: La Ikraha feddin (There is no compulsion in religion).
Politically, it is to stand up to the religious tyranny ruling Iran, who is the common enemy of all the countries in the Middle East.
In our times, religious compulsion and compulsory religion began with Khomeini seizing power. It has become a tool for pushing back opponents and for imposing a despotic rule.
On this basis, we say that the dispute is not between Shiites and Sunnis, nor between Christians and Muslims. Indeed, there is no war among civilizations. The main confrontation is between despotism and fundamentalism on the one hand and democracy and freedom on the other.
Rejection of all forms of compulsion in religion also opens the way for the principle of separation of religion and state and leaves no room for tyranny and religious discrimination under the name of God.
Yes, we can unite on a fundamental principle which makes up the sinew of Islam and that is the rejection of religious compulsion, namely the principle of La Ikraha Feddin.
The spirit of Islam abhors all forms of compulsion, coercion and forcible prohibition, ranging from imposing the compulsory veil to the forced observation of fasting and prayers by flogging and terror, to preventing the construction of Sunni mosques, and especially imposing the rule of a government under the name of God and Islam.
The Iranian regime’s animosity to peace and tranquility in the Middle East has been steady for the past three decades because export of terrorism and fundamentalism are indispensable to the regime’s strategy for survival.
Now that the international community concurs on the origin of terrorism and fundamentalism in the region, namely the Velayat-e Faqih regime in Tehran, I would like to propose a three-pronged initiative on behalf of the Iranian people and Resistance. And I urge all countries in the region to support it.
First, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) must be officially declared as a terrorist entity. The IRGC and all of its proxy militias must be evicted from countries in the region.
Second, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) must expel the Iranian regime from this organization and grant the seat of Iran to the Iranian people’s Resistance.
Third, they should recognize the Iranian people’s struggle to bring down the clerical regime and establish freedom and democracy.

Prominent Algerian Author Speaks at Iranian Resistance's Solidarity Conference in Paris
NCRI - On Saturday, June 3, a gathering was held in Paris to mark the holy month of Ramadan, with Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi and a large number of political and religious dignitaries taking part from various Islamic countries and institutions.
The participants all condemned Iran’s meddling in regional neighbors, its fundamentalist and terrorism under the banner of Islam, and describing these measures, especially those by of the Revolutionary Guards and Iranian regime in killing the Syrian people as the main element behind the Middle East’s crises.
Algerian writer Anwar Malek, former head of the Arab Society in Syria, in his speech said Islam is a tolerant religion, a religion of co-existence, a religion of peace, kindness, not terrorism, not fundamentalism, sectarianism and racism.

On the occasion of the beginning of the month of Ramadan, an Iftar ceremony was held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Auvers-sur-Oise, hosting mothers of martyrs of the Iranian Resistance and supporters of the movement.
Maryam Rajavi extended her felicitations to Muslims the world over and especially to her compatriots in Iran on the inception of the Holy month of Ramadan, the month of virtue, peace and friendship.

She wished that the belligerence and carnage, led by Iran's ruling mullahs under the banner of Islam, be uprooted.
Referring to the humane traditions of Ramadan, as the month of virtue and worship, and the month of peace, friendship and charity, she pointed out:
In diametric opposition to such culture, today the mullahs fuel and foment more war and bloodshed in the region. Domestically, too, they have stepped up repression under the pretext of Ramadan. In a grave disrespect for the sanctity of this holy month, they impose further restrictions on the populace and increasingly use flogging and executions as their punishment.
She also noted the horrific class difference, poverty, unemployment and high prices in Iran and said: There is not a day when we do not hear the cries of the people afflicted with various calamities including suicides and disintegration of families. Numerous families have not had a complete meal for a long time; they do not afford to pay for medical treatment and education of their children. They live in shanty towns. Millions upon millions of youths remain unemployed and their talents are perished. They are deprived of their most basic rights and freedoms, and their short moments of celebration and happiness end with flogging, libels and arrests.
In such circumstances, the mullahs' record of corruption and plunder is truly amazing:
On one side is the luxurious wealth and lifestyle of the mullahs, their families and accomplices knowing no limits in extravagant spending and squandering of wealth;  on the other side is the destitution of people who have to sell their kidneys, corneas, or unborn infants to survive.
Maryam Rajavi said: The regime falsely pretends to be defending the poor and the destitute while a glance over the situation in Iran and Syria easily reveals how Khamenei and Bashar Assad have butchered hundreds of thousands of people there. Such a decadent regime is doomed to go.
In the first Iftar of Ramadan, Maryam Rajavi prayed for the people of Iran and the region to be free from the clerical regime's evil. She also wished greater determination and faith for Iran's PMOI freedom fighters.

 PARIS,Iranian opposition leader and French political personalities and Muslim community leaders took part in a ceremony to pay tribute to victims of terrorist attacks in Paris on Saturday.

The event followed the terrorist attacks by Islamic extremists that shookon , resulting in the death of 132 individuals.
Maryam Rajavi, who heads the opposition National Council of Resistance ofIran, called on all Muslims, particularly those in, to unite against extremism under the name of Islam. "Muslims who believe in democracy are the most effective force to fight and defeat the global danger of Islamic fundamentalism," she said.

"The very existence of Daesh (ISIS) from day one has depended onand the Iranian regime. Two parties will be seriously hurt by Assad's ouster; one is Daesh, which would lose its breeding grounds. The other is the Iranian regime whose regional front would crumble and disintegrate," Rajavi added.

"Fundamentalism under the name of Islam - whether the Shiite variant (embodied in the absolute rule of clergy in) or the Sunni variant as practiced by Daesh - is the enemy of humanity. Its heart beats inunder the rule of religious fascism," she emphasized.

Women must rise up against this phenomenon

The International Day for elimination of Violence against Women is a proper occasion to expose a disgraceful, misogynous regime founded on suppression of women and discrimination against them.

For the past 37 years, Iranian women have been subjected to injustice, the most inhumane violence and discrimination in all areas of their life under the banner of Islam and in the name of God.

On this day, we pay homage to tens of thousands of heroic women that were tortured and executed in their struggle against religious fascism ruling Iran.

We honor the memory of young women like Reyhaneh and Farinaz who gave their lives by standing against this brutal regime.

And courageous women who have stood up to this regime and endured much suffering in jail and under torture.

We also remember women who were victims of acid attacks and millions of other women who have been humiliated and mistreated because they are women.

Violence and insecurity impact the lives of Iranian women round the clock due to the binding dress codeand the suppressive laws on women.

Every hour, two to three women are taken to court on charges of improper veiling. Every day, thousands of women receive warnings from the police for mal-veiling.

Violence and terrorism exported by the mullahs’ regime have also affected millions of Iraqi and Syrian women who are suffering every day and have been forced to leave their homeland.

There is no doubt that the wave of pain and anger of Iranian women as well as all the women of the region will overthrow this regime.    

The prime source of violence against women in today’s world is Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism. Misogyny is the core of their ideology. Therefore women must rise up against this phenomenon.

Less than a month ago, 24 members of the PMOI, the main Iranian opposition movement, lost their lives under a heavy rocket attack directed by the Iranian regime on the defenseless Camp Liberty in Iraq, where some 2000 PMOI members are residing. They included Nayereh Rab'ii. 16 more of these women were killed in the previous attacks and six women were taken hostage.

Women of the Iranian Resistance who have been able to advance the movement in difficult circumstances despite being under an inhuman siege, represent the Iranian women's steadfastness and desires.

We seek a republic based on separation of religion and state, pluralism and peace, a non-nuclear Iran without the death penalty.

As far as women's rights and freedoms are concerned, we emphasize that women must enjoy equal rights and basic freedoms including equal participation in political leadership.

Women will be free in choosing their clothing and the law on forced veiling will be abolished.

In tomorrow's Iran, all forms of violence against women and Sharia laws will be eliminated.

In a ceremony commemorating victims of terrorist attacks in Paris and in solidarity with the people of France held on Saturday, November 21, the Iranian Resistance’s President-elect Maryam Rajavi reiterated:

The November 13 tragedy demonstrated that there are two opposing fronts; freedom-loving people and advocates of democracy and separation of religion and state, tolerant and democrat Muslims versus tyrants, savages, fanatics, ISIS, Bashar Assad and the Iranian regime.

maryam Rajavi said: Muslims who believe in democracy are the most effective force which could fight and defeat the global danger of Islamic fundamentalism.

She called on all Muslims, particularly Muslims in France, to unite in a front against terrorism and extremism under the name of Islam.

In this solidarity event at the Iranian Resistance's headquarters in Auvers-sur-Oise, Mrs. Rajavi rejected the idea of cooperating with Assad to eliminate Daesh. She said: The very existence of Daesh from day one has depended on Bashar Assad and the Iranian regime. Two parties will be seriously hurt by Bashar Assad’s ouster, one is Daesh which would lose its breeding grounds. The other is the Iranian regime whose regional front would crumble and disintegrate.

maryam Rajavi said: On the one hand, Daesh slaughters dozens of young people in the terrorist carnage in Paris, on the other, the Tehran regime rejoices this anti-human crime and threaten that if France does not accept continued rule of Bashar Assad, more attacks will be on the way.

A number of political personalities, advocates of human rights, elected representatives of the people of France as well as religious dignitaries representing the country’s Muslim community were in attendance and a number of them addressed the gathering including Ingrid Betancourt, former Presidential candidate in Colombia; Alain Vivien, former French minister; Sylvie Fassier,Jean Claude Jegoudez, Bruno Macé, district mayors and members of the provincial councils; Jean Pierre Bequet, former member of the Val d'Oise Council; Khalil Merroun, head of Evry Mosque;Taoufiq Sebti, Vice President of the Muslims Council of France; Alima Boumediene, former French senator , Bilal Bely Mokono, an eyewitness who was wounded in Paris terrorist attacks and Paulo Casaca, former member of the European Parliament;

In other parts of this ceremony, participants laid flowers on the memorial of victims of November 13 tragedy, flew 130 pigeons symbolizing the 130 people who lost their lives in the fire of fundamentalism and terrorism in Paris, and watched a short film of Camp Liberty’s memorial ceremony for victims of Paris attacks. Composer and conductor, Mohammad Shams, and Hamidreza Taherzadeh, members of the National Council of Resistance of Iran also had a beautiful performance in memory of the victims.

Maryam Rajavi: Democratic Muslims are the Force to Defeat Islamic Fundamentalism

Honorable deputies, elected representatives,
Dear friends,

I would like to express my appreciation for your presence and solidarity today.

With heavy hearts, we pay homage to 130 defenseless human beings killed and 350 injured in the inferno of fundamentalism and terrorism.

The conscience of humanity is left scarred by this savagery committed under the name of God and religion.

The people of Iran share France’s grief.

PMOI members in Camp Liberty, who lost 24 comrades in a rocket attack by the Iranian regime last month, offered their sympathies with the people of France by holding a memorial at their devastated Camp, which remains in ruins.

In a tribute, they stood under the national flags of France and Iran, and sang the Marseillaise and the Iranian national anthem on the rubbles of their Camp.

No one in the world today can feel the pain of the people of France any better than those who have been victims of Islamic fundamentalism.

And we, the people of Iran, the freedom-loving Muslims, are the principal victims of this evil phenomenon.

Extremism under the banner of Islam emerged in 1979 with Khomeini seizing power; it has to date murdered 120,000 political dissidents in Iran.


In 1988, upon Khomeini’s religious decree or fatwa, 30,000 political prisoners were massacred within a few months because of their beliefs. Today, the families of those victims feel the agony of the families of those massacred in Paris on November 13th better than anyone else.

These days, we can hear the voice of mothers of execution victims and political prisoners in Iran who express their sympathy with the people of France.

Yes, we respond to the cold-hearted masterminds of the Paris massacre, by expressing our solidarity with the victims.

The terrorists have targeted not only the people of France, but also the tolerance of French society.

They have targeted the life in friendship, cultural and ideological tolerance.

Under the banner of Islam, they targeted coexistence between Muslims and Christians in France.  But as President Hollande said on Monday, “We are not engaged in a war between civilizations because these murderers do not represent any civilization.”

Their attacks once again revealed that there are two opposing fronts:  freedom-loving people and advocates of democracy and separation of religion and state, tolerant and democrat Muslims versus tyrants, savages, fanatics, ISIS, Bashar Assad and Iran’s mullahs.

This is why a few hours after the carnage in Bataclan, the mullahs hypocritically denounced the attack but at the same time rejoiced by assailing France on a scale unprecedented in the past three decades and even blaming French officials for the massacre.

On the one hand, Daesh slaughters dozens of young people; on the other, the mullahs warn that if France does not accept continued rule of Bashar Assad, more attacks will be on the way. What a disgusting division of labor!

But why must this murderous dictator remain in power while the Syrian nation wants him out?

While has half of the Syrian population been driven out of their homeland?

Assad’s continued rule translates into further displacement of the Syrian nation, the influx of millions more refugees to Europe and provides a safe haven for Daesh.

Two parties will be seriously hurt by Bashar Assad’s ouster: One is Daesh which would lose its breeding grounds. The other are the mullahs whose regional front would crumble and disintegrate.

Some people suggest that to eliminate Daesh, we should cooperate with Assad. It is foolhardy to join forces with the murderer of 300,000 Syrians to combat Daesh. For the very existence of Daesh from day one has depended on Bashar Assad and the Iranian regime.

A few days ago, the US Secretary of State said that Bashar Assad and Nouri al-Maliki deliberately released 2,500 extremist prisoners who joined forces to form Daesh.

The United Nations Third Committee recently issued a resolution, condemning the belligerence of Al-Qaeda battalions, IRGC and Iranian-backed groups such as Hezbollah and Asa’eb in Syria and calling for their expulsion from that country.

Yes, this is the right policy.

Dear friends,

Extremism under the banner of Islam has nothing to do with Islam and it is contrary to the genuine message of Islam and the traditions of its Prophet.

Anything that promotes terrorism or dictatorship counters the teachings of Islam.

Anything that violates people’s freedoms and denies women’s equality is against Islam.

Murderers ascribing their crimes to Islam is the worst kind of exploitation of Islam and Muslims.

We should therefore avoid two things that fulfill the desires of Daesh:  Attribution of such attacks to Islam in any form or fashion, and being ambivalent as Muslims.

Muslims who believe in democracy are the most effective force which could fight and defeat this global danger.

Thus, as a Muslim woman and on behalf of the Iranian people’s Resistance, I would like to emphasize a few points:
1.    The November 13th tragedy and the massacre of defenseless people under the name of Islam is an attack on Islam and Muslims.
2.    Democratic Muslims stand with France in her struggle against Daesh and for ouster of Bashar Assad. Defeating Daesh cannot be achieved without Assad’s ouster.
3.    The people of Iran are appalled by the mullahs’ jubilance over the Paris tragedy. The mullahs have demonstrated that they are siding with the criminals.
4.    Fundamentalism under the name of Islam -- whether the Shiite variant (embodied in the velayat-e faqih dictatorship in Iran) or the Sunni variant as practiced by Daesh -- is the enemy of Muslims and humanity. Its heart beats in Tehran under the rule of religious fascism.
5.    As genuine Muslims, we espouse democracy, secularism, gender equality, freedom and tolerance.
6.    We reject Sharia laws and mandatory enforcement of Islamic edicts as well as religious discrimination.
7.    We call on all Muslims, particularly Muslims in France, to unite in a front against terrorism and extremism under the banner of Islam.

Once again, we pray for the speedy recovery of the wounded and for the return of security and relief to France.

In conclusion, I would like to pay tribute to the memory of the great friend of the Iranian Resistance, Danielle Mitterand, on the anniversary of her demise and honor the genuine values of France which she defended all her life.
