Arrest of labor activists and repressive measures to end the Haft Tappeh sugar mill strike
The anti-human clerical regime, which has become furious and aggravated by the strike and demonstrations of brave workers of the Haft Tappeh sugar cane mill, on Thursday, November 29 arrested Mr. Ali Nejati, former president of the Haft Tappeh sugar cane workers union, along with his son, and transferred them to an unknown location. The repressive forces arrested and beat him while he was suffering from heart disease and was badly ill.
Despite these arrests and the presence of suppressive forces in the city of Shush, the brave workers of Haft Tappeh sugar cane mill continued their protest for the 25th day. They chanted in the gathering in front of the regime's governorate: Imprisoned worker must be freed.
On the other hand, the governor, the regime’s MP and the head of the Revolutionary Guards went to the area to force the workers to end the strike by giving deceptive promises. But they were faced with a negative response from the workers. Workers interrupted the speech of the member of the regime's parliament by chanting slogans.
The Iranian Resistance calls on the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the International Labor Organization, trade unions and labor unions all over the world to take urgent action to free Ali Nejati and other detained workers and to support striking workers.

Two labor unions from Germany and the UK expressed support for Iran’s striking truckers, which has entered its 7th day.
The German Vereinte Dienstleistungsgewerkschaft (German United Services Trade Union), Verdi for short, in an interview with Bild website, condemned the Iranian government’s efforts to punish striking drivers with the death penalty.
“To impose the death penalty for strikers is unthinkable and disgusting for a civilized state,” Andrea Kocsis, The Deputy Federal Chairman of the Verdi Union, said.

Frustrated workers of Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Industrial Complex continued their strike for the twelfth day on Friday, November 16, with a rally in front of the governorate of Shush and demonstrations in the streets of the city. They chanted: "Do not be afraid, do not be afraid, we are all together", "Lest we accept humiliation". In protesting against the destruction of this economic magnet of the country by the clerical regime, in a symbolic action, workers carried the coffin of the Haft Tappeh sugar cane and chanted: "Today is a day of mourning". The workers who are from different parts of the mill then gathered at the venue of the Friday prayers show of the regime, and by turning their back to the speaker of the ceremony, and by chanting "Facing the homeland, back to the enemy", "the worker dies, he does not accept humiliation", "Death to the oppressor; Peace be upon the Worker" interrupted these hypocritical and deceptive ceremonies.

Second day of nationwide strikes by Iran’s teachers
Students rise in support of their protesting teachers
On Wednesday, Iranian teachers in numerous cities began the second continuous day of their nationwide strike.
Teachers have gone to strike to protest against the suppression and imprisonment of teachers, the deteriorating situation of livelihoods, the uncontrolled inflation and the decline in purchasing power, and are calling for elimination of discrimination against working and retired educators.
This protest movement took place in different cities including Isfahan, Ahvaz, Kermanshah, Karaj, Ilam, Ardebil, Baneh, Saqez, Jolfa, Babol, Sari, Shahriar, Yazd, Karaj, Marivan, Ivan West, Hamedan, Sanandaj, Shahrekord, Chaboksar, Shiraz, Lamerd, Homayounshahr, Saveh, Jam Township, Bushehr and others, in addition to Tehran.
In many cities, such as Marivan, Divandareh, Sanandaj, Shiraz and Esfahan, students joined the teachers' strike. In Sanandaj, parents also supported the teachers' strike.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, saluted the teachers and educators who have gone to sit-ins in order to secure their rights, and called on the frustrated public, especially the youth, to express solidarity with them, saying: "Anti-cultural and anti-Iranian dictatorship of the mullahs has destroyed culture and education. In protesting against the destruction of this economic magnet of the country by the clerical regime, in a symbolic action, workers carried the coffin of the Haft Tappeh sugar cane and chanted: "Today is a day of mourning". The workers who are from different parts of the mill then gathered at the venue of the Friday prayers show of the regime, and by turning their back to the speaker of the ceremony, and by chanting "Facing the homeland, back to the enemy", "the worker dies, he does not accept humiliation", "Death to the oppressor; Peace be upon the Worker" interrupted these hypocritical and deceptive ceremonies.

Sugar cane employees on strike for 11 days
Employees of the Haft Tappeh sugar mill workers continued their strike on Thursday for eleventh consecutive day, protesting officials not answering to their demands. These reports join long list of other rallies held across the country.

November 10, 2018 – Protests and Strikes by the National Steel Group workers of Ahwaz started this morning (Saturday, November 10, 2018) in front of the Ahwaz governor’s office.

Second day of nationwide strikes by Iran’s teachers
Students rise in support of their protesting teachers
On Wednesday, Iranian teachers in numerous cities began the second continuous day of their nationwide strike.
Teachers have gone to strike to protest against the suppression and imprisonment of teachers, the deteriorating situation of livelihoods, the uncontrolled inflation and the decline in purchasing power, and are calling for elimination of discrimination against working and retired educators.
This protest movement took place in different cities including Isfahan, Ahvaz, Kermanshah, Karaj, Ilam, Ardebil, Baneh, Saqez, Jolfa, Babol, Sari, Shahriar, Yazd, Karaj, Marivan, Ivan West, Hamedan, Sanandaj, Shahrekord, Chaboksar, Shiraz, Lamerd, Homayounshahr, Saveh, Jam Township, Bushehr and others, in addition to Tehran.
In many cities, such as Marivan, Divandareh, Sanandaj, Shiraz and Esfahan, students joined the teachers' strike. In Sanandaj, parents also supported the teachers' strike.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, saluted the teachers and educators who have gone to sit-ins in order to secure their rights, and called on the frustrated public, especially the youth, to express solidarity with them, saying: "Anti-cultural and anti-Iranian dictatorship of the mullahs has destroyed culture and education. The catastrophic situation of working and retired teachers is a product of the plundering and repressive policies of the anti-cultural clerical regime, and it becomes worse as long as this regime is in power. November 12, 2018 - Reports of a variety of protests are coming from cities and towns across Iran.
Truck drivers across Iran are continuing their nationwide strike for the 12th consecutive day on Monday. This movement has now expanded to 75 cities in 25 of Iran’s 31 provinces.
In Saravan, southeast Iran, drivers were rallying near a gas station, protesting the authorities’ refusal to provide diesel fuel for their trucks.

Farmers in East Isfahan protest against mismanagement of water
Nov. 2, 2018 - The farmers in Varzaneh, Shatur, and Ziar, east of Isfahan province gathered on Thursday to protest to scarcity of water and lack of access to water resources, among other demands.
The problem of access to water has become a focus of tension between the regime and the people of Isfahan, where agriculture is one the main sources of employment and income for its citizens. The Iranian regime has historically failed to manage water resources in Isfahan and other provinces.
