U.S. Secretary of State lays out plans to counter the Iranian regime’s malign behavior
May 21, 2018 - In a speech to the Heritage Foundation, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo laid out the roadmap for the U.S. policy toward the Iranian regime after President Donald Trump ended the United States participation in the nuclear deal with Iran, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
“Two weeks ago, President Trump terminated the United States participation in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, more commonly known as the nuclear deal,” Pompeo said, stressing that the decision means the U.S. will no longer accept wealth creation for the heads of the Iranian regime of the launching of missile on neighboring countries or expansions of regional power at the expense of other countries.

Maryam Rajavi: International support for the uprising in Iran, the demands of their just resistance for freedom and justice
Two weeks after withdrawing from JCPOA, the United States Secretary of State in his first public message recognized the Iranian people’s uprising against the religious dictatorship and the biggest sponsor of terrorism and called for an international front against the Iranian regime.
The Secretary of State referred to major flaws of the JCPOA and the “blood money” offered to the regime and individuals like Qassem Soleimani, an IRGC Commander, and recalled Security Council resolutions to reiterate that any new agreement with the Iranian regime must include a halt to nuclear enrichment, unqualified access to all nuclear sites, end to proliferation of ballistic missiles and development of nuclear-capable missile systems, respect for the sovereignty of Iraq and disarming proxy forces, withdrawal of all forces under Iranian command from throughout the entirety of Syria, end to launching missiles and threatening its neighbors, and end supporting terrorist groups in Yemen, Lebanon and Afghanistan. Addressing the clerical regime, he emphasized that negotiation is possible if they changed behavior.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran for the period of transition of power to people, described the recognition of people’s uprising and the demands of the Iranian people’s just resistance in the past 37 years as a major step. “Change in the behavior of the mullahs will inevitably lead to the change of their regime. Democratic change in Iran is the only solution to the problem in Iran and the crisis in the region. Forming an international front against the religious and terrorist dictatorship in Iran is requisite for establishment of peace, security and coexistence in the region and world over,” she stressed.
At the start of the nuclear talks with the mullahs’ regime on November 24, 2013, Mrs. Rajavi had emphasized, “The full implementation of Security Council resolutions, particularly the complete halt to uranium enrichment, agreeing to the Additional Protocol, and the IAEA inspectors’ unhindered access to suspected nuclear centers and facilities are essential for the regime to abandon nuclear weapons.”
Mrs. Rajavi also reiterated immediately after the nuclear deal on July 14, 2015: “Circumventing the six UN Security Council resolutions and an unsigned agreement, which lacks the requirements of an official international treaty, would neither block the mullahs' pathways to deception nor their access to a nuclear bomb... and the other important issue is that the money poured into the regime’s coffers must be placed under strict United Nations monitoring to ensure that it addresses the Iranian people's urgent needs, especially the unpaid meager salaries of workers, teachers, and nurses, and is used to provide food and medicine to citizens.” “Otherwise,” she said, “Khamenei will use these funds to further the regime’s policy of export of terrorism and fundamentalism in Syria, Yemen and Lebanon as well as to fill the coffers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, adding, “It is the Iranian people's right to know what they will get out of this agreement, upon which the mullahs' president claimed their water, bread and environment depended. Any agreement that disregards and fails to underscore the Iranian people's human rights will only embolden the regime in its suppression and executions. Further, it would trample upon the rights of the Iranian people, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the United Nations Charter.”

Iran's Ballistic Build Up

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) published a new book including some of the most secretive aspects of the Iranian regime’s missile program.
This book includes the details of 27 missile-launch locations mostly located along Iran’s southern and western borders in addition to this, displayed locations and details of 15 sites where Iran’s missiles are built.
Obviously Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ Aerospace Force is in charge of the regime’s ballistic missile program and the US can’t deal with the nuclear program without dealing with its missile program and its meddling in the countries of the region.
It is worth noting how the Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), first blew the whistle back in 2002 on Iran’s clandestine nuclear program and its suspicious of seeking nuclear weapons.
The Iranian regime already has the capability to conduct a non-nuclear strategic attack against U.S. and its allies and Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), didn’t cover Iran’s ballistic missile program.

May 8, 2018 - Fulfilling one of his key campaign promises after nearly 15 months into his term, U.S. President Donald Trump announced today his decision to have the United States pull out of the Iran nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Describing Iran as a “regime of great terror” and “murderous,” Trump said:
“United States will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal… If I allow this deal to stand, there will soon be an arms race in the Middle East… the highest level of economic sanction will go into effect. Any nation supporting Iran’s nuclear drive will be sanctioned… Powerful sanctions will go into full effect.”
Trump also sent a message to the Iranian people.
“The people of America stand with you… The future of Iran belongs to its people,” he said.

U.S. Treasury Department declares new sanctions policy against Iran
Following U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out of the nuclear deal with the Iranian regime, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin confirmed the sanctions in a statement:
“President Trump has been consistent and clear that this Administration is resolved to addressing the totality of Iran’s destabilizing activities. We will continue to work with our allies to build an agreement that is truly in the best interest of our long-term national security. The United States will cut off the IRGC’s access to capital to fund Iranian malign activity, including its status as the world’s largest state sponsor of terror, its use of ballistic missiles against our allies, its support for the brutal Assad regime in Syria, its human rights violations against its own people, and its abuses of the international financial system.”
The IRGC is the main actor behind the Iranian regime’s ballistic missile program and its meddling in the countries of the region. The IRGC benefitted immensely from the nuclear accord, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which gave it access to billions of dollars to fund its terrorist activities abroad and its weapons programs. Cutting IRGC’s access to financial resources will deliver a serious blow to the Iranian regime’s regional ambitions as well as its security and suppression apparatus at home.

U.S. sanctions head of Iran's judiciary, others, over human rights abuses
WASHINGTON (Reuters) JANUARY 12, 2018 -
The United States imposed sanctions on 14 individuals and entities on Friday for human rights abuses in Iran and supporting Iranian weapons programs, including the head of Iran’s judiciary, Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani.
The U.S. Treasury Department said in a statement that Larijani, a close ally of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is “responsible for ordering, controlling, or otherwise directing, the commission of serious human rights abuses against persons in Iran or Iranian citizens or residents.”
A Chinese national was sanctioned for acting on behalf of Wuhan Sanjiang Import and Export Co LTD, which is already under sanctions for doing business with an Iranian firm “owned or controlled” by the military.
Other sanctioned entities included another China-based company, Bochuang Ceramic Corp, and the Iranian firm it sought to supply with a chemical compound used in the transmission of electrical signals.

Baghdad Post, December 04 2017 - Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman, Bahram Qassemi, said Monday in an interview with state media that France should know Iran’s missile program is not an issue that can be negotiated, Reuters reported.

US Strategy on Iran Regime
United States President Donald Trump has made it very clear that he is not a fan of the Iran nuclear deal. He has been criticizing it since before he even took office. At the recent United Nations General Assembly, he described it as an “embarrassment” to the United States and very one-sided.
His predecessor, President Barack Obama has been criticized for his leniency on Iran. He made numerous concessions to Iran during the nuclear agreement negotiations and he had a policy of appeasement that basically let Iran get away with murder. Literally.
FOI Requests Over Iran Deal and the Role of IRGC
A Conservative organisation in the US has sent out Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests to four key agencies to uncover the truth about the 2015 nuclear deal.
In this new request, the American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ), is asking the State Department, the Department of the Treasury, the National Security Agency (NSA), and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) to provide all of the information surrounding Iran Air’s use of civilian aircraft for military and terrorist activities of Iran regime’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).
In their statement, the ACLJ said: “What they knew matters because, in the Iran Deal, they agreed to let Boeing and other plane manufacturers sell aeroplanes to Iranian airliners like Iran Air.”
Middle East Will Never Be Peaceful If Iran Regime Is Allowed to Continue as It Is
Even though the Iran nuclear deal has been in place since 2015, Iran remains one of the most serious threats to the security in the Middle East. For as long as the Iranian regime is in power, there will never be peace in the Middle East.
Many said that the nuclear deal would tame the Iranian regime’s behaviour but it seemed to have the opposite effect. Iran became more and more emboldened and it knew that the Obama administration - that bent over backwards to get Iran’s signature – would turn a blind eye and remain silent to all of the acts of belligerence it was carrying out.

Iran is not only violating the spirit of the no-nukes deal, it is violating its letter. The prologue to the deal explicitly states: “Iran reaffirms that under no circumstances will Iran ever seek, develop or acquire any nuclear weapons.” This reaffirmation has no sunset provision: it is supposed to be forever.
Yet the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recently stated that it could not verify that Iran was “fully implementing the agreement” by not engaging in activities that would allow it to make a nuclear explosive device. Yukiya Amano of the IAEA told Reuters that when it comes to inspections, which are stipulated in Section T of the agreement, “our tools are limited.” Amano continued to say: “In other sections, for example, Iran has committed to submit declarations, place their activities under safeguards or ensure access by us. But in Section T, I don’t see any (such commitment).”

Trump's Iranian nuclear deal speech ricochets across the Middle East

President Trump’s Iran strategy speech of Oct. 13 rattled Tehran and excited a large portion of the Iranian population, including the Iranian opposition. Trump’s speech, while going over a long list of Tehran’s nefarious activities, referred to the people of Iran as the main victims of the Iranian regime. He also refrained from certifying that Iran complied with the deal but did not withdraw from the political commitment the major powers and Tehran made to abide by the accord for 10 years from Aug. 2015.
After punting the decision to Congress for 60 days, research conducted for this post suggests Trump should gain congressional support to withdraw from the deal, renegotiate a better accord, and press our allies to adopt a strategy against Iran of renewal of sanctions until the Iranian regime changes its unacceptable behavior.

After describing it as the “worst deal ever” and threatening to scrap the entire accord, U.S. President Donald Trump has decertified the Iran nuclear deal, describing it as against U.S. national security interests, and outlined significant measures targeting the regime in its entirety. The nuclear deal should be recognized for what it is: a deal that limits, but does not block, Iran's path to nuclear weapons. Likewise, the Iranian regime should be recognized for what it is: a rogue regime that poses a multitude of threats to international peace and security, all of which have to be addressed. Nuclear weapon development is only one of them.
Varying sources have confirmed that President Trump will decertify the Iran nuclear deal come an Oct. 15 deadline. This will mean that the president does not see the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as the deal is formally known, as vital to the national security interests of the U.S. It will then be up to Congress to decide whether to scrap the deal and reimpose sanctions on the Iranian regime or to preserve it and take other necessary measures to address its flaws.
The question now is what this move means for Iranian regime, and how its leaders will react? Iranian officials have threatened to walk away from the deal and the enrichment of uranium on several reprises in the past months as Trump intensified the tough talk against the accord's failures and Tehran's unlawful ventures.

With only days to go before U.S. President Donald Trump must decide if he will grant the Iranian regime compliance with the nuclear deal on Oct. 15, the sands of time are rapidly running out for Tehran's rulers.
Trump told a meeting of the United Nations in September that the deal was "an embarrassment" to the United States. If Trump refuses to certify Iran's compliance with the deal, which seems highly likely, Congress will have 60 days to decide whether to reapply the crippling sanctions lifted by former President Barack Obama after the deal was signed.
There is increasing speculation that the Iranian regime is financing North Korea's nuclear program, despite worldwide condemnation and the imposition of heavy sanctions against Kim Jong Un's rogue state even by China. A former U.S. senior diplomat has said that when Iran wants nuclear weapons it simply has to write a check and hand it to the North Koreans.
U.S. National Security Adviser Gen. H.R. McMaster said in September, "The President has already declared that the Iranian regime is not living up to its obligation. They are certainly not living up to the spirit of this agreement. Instead of contributing to regional peace and security, as the deal calls for, Iran is using proxy forces and a terrorist network to foment violence and victimize innocents across the greater Middle East. The Iranian regime is seeding these networks with increasingly destructive weapons as they try to establish a bridge from Iran to Lebanon and Syria."
Obama's policy of appeasement toward Iran was a huge mistake. The nuclear deal was totally one-sided, giving endless concessions to the Iranian regime. Its leniency made it easy for the mullahs continually to run a cart and horses through the terms of the agreement with virtual impunity. This in turn encouraged the North Koreans to accelerate their own nuclear weapons' program, encouraged by the apparent weakness of the West. There is now a growing awareness that the best way of dealing with North Korea is by taking tough action against Iran.

Discussions are continuing as we speak over the fate of the highly controversial Iran nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Advocates and opponents are going the limits to present their case prior to the October 15th deadline when US President Donald Trump is due to determine the status of Iran’s compliance with the accord.
While this is a very important discussion, what unfortunately goes neglected is the status of the Iranian people who should be the first beneficiaries of such an accord that led to many sanctions being lifted from the Iranian regime.

28 September 2017-WORLD MUST STOP LETTING IRAN REGIME GET AWAY WITH NUCLEAR INSPECTION OBSTRUCTION
Alejo Vidal-Quadras, a Spanish professor of atomic and nuclear physics, wrote an op-ed for the Washington Examiner in which he explained that Iran has a long history in obstructing investigations into its nuclear programme and this has not changed in the two years since the nuclear deal was signed.
Vidal-Quadras, who is also president of the Brussels-based International Committee in Search of Justice (ISJ) which seeks to gain justice for the victims of the 1988 Iranian massacre, wrote: “The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action effectively skirted this issue by making it theoretically possible for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to ask for and receive access to military sites, but only following a month-long process during which the Islamic Republic could work to erase evidence of past activities.”
This is especially troubling when you consider that the IAEA’s reports are the chief reason why many countries besides the US believe that Iran is in compliance with the deal. The problem is, how can you be in compliance with anything if you are always allowed to delay investigations until you’ve hidden the evidence?

Riyadh Daily, September 28, 2017 - The Iran nuclear agreement, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was eventually signed in 2015 after a series of initially covert, and thus overt talks amongst various parties.
While the deal was boasted of enjoying a long slate of strengths, its imperfections were cloaked by JCPOA advocates – led by senior Obama administration officials – and allowed the broader challenges posed by Iran to go unanswered.
All, from left to right, liberal to conservative, Democrat, and Republican, must come to realize that the rendered cons of the Iran nuclear deal completely overshadow the very few pros.
