Iran’s Immoderate ‘Moderate’
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has now been in office for more than four years. Yet he hasn’t fulfilled any of the major domestic-reform pledges that got him elected in 2013 and re-elected earlier this year. Those pledges won him the decisive backing of urban, secular-minded, middle class Iranians–and plaudits in the West. Yet Iranians are no more free than they were four years ago, and the Islamic Republic is still the same security state that it was then.
Rouhani’s ballot-box triumph, then, was enough to give the regime a smiling, reasonable visage, and to reduce rising discontent, but not enough to effect any meaningful change.

In October, Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian regime’s president, reiterated that Tehran will continue to develop ballistic missiles, defying the latest round of Congress-approved sanctions against Iran’s ballistic missile program and a U.N. resolution calling on Iran “not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons.”
This bit of news might come as a disappointment to those who view Rouhani as the “moderate” leader the U.S. and the international community should back against “hardliners” in Iran. But it won’t surprise those who know the true nature that governs all the factions that compete within the theocratic regime ruling Iran.
Rouhani made deceptive claims and promises before May's presidential elections to strengthen his bid and portray himself as being at odds with the Revolutionary Guards. The IRGC, the notorious military body that only reports to Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran’s unelected Supreme Leader, was designated as a terrorist organization by the Trump administration last month.
However, after securing his second mandate, Rouhani retraced his steps and re-established his ties with what he previously called the “government with a gun.” Last month, Rouhani praised the IRGC as the "beloved" of the Iranian people despite the evident fact that it is the main player behind Iran’s terrorist forays, ballistic missile program, and human rights violations.
Hassan Rouhani's New Cabinet Stacked With Old Hands
Iran’s new cabinet is stacked with former Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) and Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) members who have overseen most of the brutal human rights violations over the last three decades.
The second term of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has officially begun. His first four years were experienced by the people of Iran, the region and the international community. It is necessary to discuss the challenges his second term will pose. The most important matter in Iranian politics is the issue of hegemony, authority and power. As long as the regime is formed around the supreme leader, known as the velayet-e faqih, the presidency and his executive branch will literally be functioning to his service and demands. In such a structure, the president in the Iranian regime, now Rouhani, literally enjoys no authority. Former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami once described his role as a mere “procurer.”
Considering the fact that Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has blessed the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Rouhani’s role is to provide for the establishment’s best interests while dodging and sidestepping international demands.
Khamenei understands very well there is no better option for his regime’s future. Yet he also needs to maintain a straight face before a social base that may even accuse him of giving in to the enemy, being the United States, the “Great Arrogance.”
Appointment of Pourmohammadi, member of the death committee, as advisor to the head of the judiciary
Head henchman Mostafa Pourmohammadi, member of four-members death committee in the massacre of political prisoners in Tehran and Minister of Justice in the first cabinet of Rouhani, was appointed on the order of Khamenei as deputy head of the judiciary, Sadegh Larijani. Following widespread revelations of Pourmohammadi’s atrocities inside and outside Iran, Rouhani replaced him with henchman Alireza Avaei, one of the members of the death committee in Khouzestan province. First Deputy of Judiciary Mullah Mohseni Eje’I, described Pourmohammadi, the brutal executioner of the regime, as 'a competent manager and servant' in his introduction.
The Iranian regime’s parliament approved on Sunday most of the ministerial candidates introduced by Hassan Rouhani. The new cabinet includes sixteen members with a background in the Iranian regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC), the main force responsible for repression and killings inside Iran and export of terrorism to countries of the region.
Rouhani’s choice for Justice Minister, Alireza Avaie, had a role in the 1988 “Death Committee” that sent over 30,000 political prisoners to their deaths. Avaie was a key member of the Death Committee in Khuzestan province in southern Iran in 1988.
Rouhani acknowledged before parliament that Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, his choice for Ministry of Communications, was previously an agent of the notorious Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).
Rouhani told the parliament: "Mr. Jahromi attended the meetings of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace for a while on behalf of Mr. Alavi (Minister of Intelligence), when he was in the Ministry of Intelligence.”
“The reason I insisted that he join [the cabinet] was because we have a lot of complicated issues in security matters. If I am not in a meeting, one must be there to know the security," the state-run television network quoted Rouhani as saying on August 20, 2017.
Jahromi has been involved in torture, interrogation and censorship in the Ministry of Intelligence since he was 21, and played a distinct role in the crackdown on the 2009 uprising.
As the director general of the eavesdropping section of the Ministry of Intelligence, due to his services to the regime's intelligence, he quickly progressed and at the age of 38 was promoted to the post of Minister.
Rouhani, his ministers and the mullahs' Parliament stress on repression, export of terrorism, and aggressive meddling
During confirmation hearing for Mahmoud Alavi, Minister of Intelligence of Rouhani’s cabinet, the regime officials acknowledged the role of the Intelligence in export of terrorism and warmongering meddling in Syria and Iraq.
Iran Regime: JCPOA for the Americans Means, Behaviour Change Leading to Regime Change
A state-owned newspaper affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) exposed some of the Iranian regime’s worries about JCPOA impasse.
In an article titled “Americans Point of View on the nature and Spirit of JCPOA," the newspaper wrote on 15 August 2017: “Some media outlets and political news circles in the West predict the Trump administration is set to stay out of the nuclear deal. But what's important here is that the President of the United States intends to break up the deal and introduce Iran as a factor in the failure of JCPOA. This is a delicate point that the Foreign Minister of our country has explicitly drawn to public attention a while ago.”
All the President’s Men: Iran’s Cabinet Candidates
While humans lack the ability to see into the future, we do possess the power to analyze our world to predict what the future has in store for us. The result of Iran’s so-called presidential election back in May rendered a second term for the incumbent Hassan Rouhani. During Iran’s short election season, lasting no less than a month, the mullahs’ cunningly downgraded crackdown measures, decreasing executions and increasing social freedoms to lure the general public into polling stations.
Nevertheless, the all-male slate of cabinet candidates presented by Rouhani to the parliament for approval provides a dark insight of what awaits the Iranian people and the international community. To make a long story short, these are names consisting of former Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) members, hostage takers, executioners, torturers and thieves.
This is a signal of Iran fuelling a future of further wars, crackdown, massacres, exporting terrorism and fundamentalism, and killing sprees targeting the region’s nations.

President Rouhani's first achievement in his second term, execution of a juvenile
IRAN,10 August 2017-- Iran's brutal regime finally hanged Alireza Tajiki, a juvenile who was 15 years old at the time of the offence. Alireza was executed today, on Thursday, August 10, 2017 in Shiraz Adel-Abad prison.
The Iranian Resistance on Wednesday, August 9, called for an urgent action to save the life of the juvenile offender, Alireza Tajiki, 20 years old, who was only 15 years old at the time of the offence. He had spent 5 years in prison before being executed on Thursday, August 10, 2017.
The Iranian Resistance called on international organizations and human rights body, as well as the Human Rights High Commissioner and the Special Raportour and other respective human rights organizations to take urgent action to save the life of Alireza Tajiki.
IRGC BYPASS SANCTIONS THROUGH ROUHANI'S SMILE DIPLOMACY'

This week marks the beginning of Hassan Rouhani’s second presidential term, which is vital for the existence of the ruling theocracy in Iran.In his inauguration speech, Rouhani described his plans to have high level relationships with world. However after the speech, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei called for standing against America.At first glance, there seems to be a significant conflict of priority,
but in reality this is just a political deception directed by these two clerics.
On the face of it, president Rouhani claims that he is pursuing a detente policy with US and Arab countries. However, in reality, his government allocates billions of dollars, which was gained from the nuclear deal, towards the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and its ballistic missile program development.
According to the data collected from material published by the Iranian state-run press, human rights activists and their websites, or from private sources in touch with the Iranian Resistance, 80 of those executed during Rouhani's tenure have been women.
Nevertheless, the actual figures are definitely higher, as most executions in Iran are carried out secretly without anyone knowing except those who carry it out.

Little known about Rouhani is the fact that he was a member of the Committee for Special Operations (Omure Vijeh Committee), which authorized extralegal terrorist attacks and assassinations, including the suicide truck bombing of Khobar Towers in Saudia Arabia that kill 19 Americans and injured nearly 400 others.
•There have been over 2,000 executions in Iran in the two years that Rouhani has been in office, more than in any similar period in the past 25 years. The victims include political dissidents like Gholamreza Khosravi, an activist of Iran’s principal opposition, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) who was hanged solely for providing financial assistance to a satellite television station supporting the opposition.The following review on some of the key issues is telling.
